Hotel Mercure Cherbourg Centre Port bintang 4

Pleasant hotel. When arriving at the car park through Ribeil the first gate you see is the exit. The entrance to the car park is right beside the hotel- to the left of the front door. The 4 th floor room had a nice view. And seemed enormous after our tiny room in Paris. It was very clean. Just one small carton of water in the fridge for the 2 of us. Having been told on the phone they the restaurant was full they got us a table when I asked again on arrival. Dinner was very good and service friendly. Unfortunately we stayed on a Saturday night sailing on a Sunday. Trying to find an open pharmacy in Cherbourg on Sunday 30th October proved impossible. Almost all the shops were closed on Sunday morning except the very convenient carrefour supermarket beside the hotel which closed at 12.30. Normandie wines was open( til 5 I think) and also a nice bakery in town- Maison Toulorce. Would definitely stay again.

Modern building very close to the ferry and easy walking distance to multiple shops and restaurants. Really good member of the Mecure brand, very new, clean, good sized room, on site parking and erasable value. Takes all the stress out of catching an early ferry or a good first stop after a long drive to get to the UK ferry port. Will definitely use again

We only stayed one night but we intend to return. The hotel is in a very good location close to restaurants and a huge shopping centre and has its own car park with disabled parking spaces. We stayed in an accessible room, which truly was accessible, with plenty of space for manoeuvring a wheelchair and a big bathroom. It was provided with facilities for making hot drinks and a reasonable sized fridge. We also had a balcony overlooking the marina. The bed was very comfortable and I slept better than I usually do at home! The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The hotel was also very competitively priced! We are looking forward to going back as soon as we can.

Great hotel convenient to all of Cherbourg. Very clean bedroom, great mattress, and a fridge. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Great variety for breakfast. I enjoyed the Normandy rice pudding and the croissants were divine.

We highly recommend this hotel in the centre of Cherbourg, conveniently situated for the port. All staff were helpful, friendly, welcoming, the room (and view) excellent: spacious, clean, with all you might require. We'd certainly stay there again. Impressive breakfast! It's a modern hotel, but far from anonymous, and it's not too big, so it felt personal.
