This did not meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk – less than a minute – from Riga Old Town. However, since it is situated in the Parliament district, vehicle access is restricted. There is no nearby parking or passenger drop-off, so guests must walk a considerable distance with their luggage to reach the hotel. Unfortunately, this Pullman property fell short of the brand's usual standards. The room felt dark and uninviting, with minimal amenities, there weren’t even basic items like mouthwash cups provided. Additionally, we encountered mosquitoes in the room each night, which made our stay uncomfortable. This did not meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in Riga at the Pullman hotel which I highly recommend

Excellent location with no more than 5 minutes to the city centre. Very clean hotel coupled with very helpful and friendly staff. At the time, the hotel was renovated and no swimming pool. But the reception staff (Rainers Rozenfelds) arranged us vouchers and a taxi (if needed) to swim and had a good time at the Radisson Blu hotel. We did have a problem with the TV and one of the staff managed to quickly resolve the issue by moving us to another room in the newly renovated part of the hotel. One comment about the breakfast, variety of excellent food and drink with helpful staff but the location doesn't reflect the hotel status (I guess that must be related to the renovation). My wife did enjoy our stay in Riga at the Pullman hotel which I highly recommend.

Full Amenity Business Hotel in Old Town

Pros: - Located just right at the entrance towards the old town of Riga. - Complete amenities from toiletries to a coffee and tea making set to a mini bar. - While the Television is not Netflix enabled there are English channels you can choose from. - Love the Breakfast Spread, esp. the vitamin shots, juices, and the alcoholic options. - 24/7 Reception Service. - Bar at the ground floor. - Love how there are enough hooks to hang things. - Adjustable heating and cooling systems. Cons: - The Room is EXTREMELY DARK. Additional lights by the bed or by the television would probably make it better. - While it is at the old town, everything else is a 20 to 30 minute walk, and a 5 to 10 minute cab ride. This is a weird distance because the places will be too far to walk to or too near to ride a cab to. Good thing that cab prices are manageable so it's a better choice to just book a Bolt esp if you could split the bill amongst 3 or 4 of you. - The sink is located away from the toilet, a hassle for those who are used to using a bidet - there's no bidet.

Great Services, but Room Needs Improvement

We stayed at the hotel for three nights with my friend. The common areas were cozy and clean, and the breakfast was excellent – very comprehensive and delicious. A big plus for the fresh dishes that could be ordered separately from the kitchen (apparently on weekdays). Check-in was quick and easy. The option to download a digital key to the phone was a great convenience. Our room was on the sixth floor. Unfortunately, the ongoing renovation of the pool area caused a lot of noise, which was quite disruptive. Additionally, the plumbing made loud gurgling sounds throughout the day and night, making it difficult to sleep. Overall, the soundproofing was poor. The cleanliness of our room was below average – dust had not been properly cleaned, and the room seemed in need of renovation. It also took a long time for the shower to produce warm water, and the sink tap did not provide warm water at all. The hotel’s pool area was under renovation, but we were provided with transportation and access to the pool area of a nearby hotel, which was very pleasant. This was a good solution given the circumstances. The hotel’s location was excellent, allowing us to walk everywhere.
