Never again!!!

Good location, city center. Do not use any gift cards with special offers like "vacation with spa for two" in this place. Spa - two miniature baths. (The steam sauna has a strong mold smell) Jacuzzi - "bath" with ice water. Dinner is a separate topic. First of all, they mixed up the dishes. "Special menu" - cheap pasta with chicken or salmon, oversalted soup (very similar to the ready-made version from the store, because it is impossible to eat meatballs in it. I'm not even sure that there is meat in them.) and dessert - by the way, a very tasty cake. The room is clean, but very small. Champagne was prepared for us, and a welcome letter was addressed to a completely different person. The view from the window is an inner courtyard and an old house. The air conditioner did not work. (Judging by the reviews of many guests - it never works). To the question: How long does the staff at the reception desk work, the answer was given in a rude and dismissive manner (blonde girl). That same evening after “dinner” we decided to move

Regarding the "SPA" experience, I apologize that it didn’t provide the romantic atmosphere you were expecting. Please note that the hotel's spa has always been a shared facility and requires advance booking during specific operating hours. If you were looking for privacy, you could have paid an additional fee for this service at the front desk during check-in. Alternatively, you could have contacted us in advance, and we would have been happy to provide you with a complimentary welcome treat. I appreciate your comments about the champagne and welcome fruits in the room. It’s clear that your expectations were not met in these areas, and I will ensure your feedback is passed along to the relevant teams for review. Unpleasant bartender

We had quite a pleasant stay, although it was slightly marred by a few issues. The rooms are spacious enough, but there was a water outage, which is never a pleasant experience. The air conditioning also needs repair as we encountered problems with it as well. A very unpleasant experience was with the bartender, who is definitely not suited for his job. I haven't seen such an attitude in a long time! He didn't even respond to questions or requests to purchase something. It was disgusting to witness. I didn't catch his name because he wasn't wearing a badge, but it seems unlikely that people straight out of prison would be employed here (at least I haven't seen such individuals), as he was the only issue. However, this was the only negative encounter with the staff. The reception staff were helpful and apologized profusely for the water shortage, which was understandable since it wasn't their fault at all. I would also like to express my gratitude to the manager, Vladislav (if I remember correctly), who assisted with issues regarding the room and the bartender's unacceptable attitude. Although I do not live in Latvia, I would like to find a hotel to stay at when I visit. If the issues with this one staff member and the ventilation were resolved, my husband and I would gladly stay here again and again. The prices could be more friendly, but it is the season...

Stone Faced Staff, Adequate Accommodations, Safe Convenient Area

This is a basic hotel within walking distance of the bus station, with a basic breakfast in the morning though I would avoid the omelet station (the woman making omelets that morning burned mine, totally charred black on the bottom and inedible). The front desk staff are among the unhappiest I have ever seen, stone faced as if they were forced to be there as indentured servants. There were long lines at check in as well. If you just need basic lodging this is an option but if you are looking for any degree of service at all you will need to go elsewhere.

Nice hotel and very close to the old town. We chose the hotel because there is parking right outside. We did miss having to pay 15€ per full day but that was our mistake - you could consider giving discount to hotel guest as it runs up when staying for several days. The room was nice and clean, shower working perfectly and air-conditioning was needed as it was rather hot the days we stayed. House keeping did a good job every morning. The menu in the restaurant wasn't very interesting but the hotel is so close to the old town where there are many good and affordable restaurants so it didn't matter much. Breakfast in the restaurant however was okay with a large variety of food. And atmosphere in the bar at night was very cosy. The staff was polite and helpful and their English skills were surprisingly good. Not very smiling and not making eye contact but I believe that this is the generel way in Latvia, not to interact with strangers. And when you know that, it is easy not to take it personally 😉 We would not hesitate to come back.

Not the nicest experience

The hotel itself is at a very convenient location. The shopping center is very nearby. The rooms are ok. But the customer service is not at all good. The hotel that has such high standards does have a basic room service available. When u call them no one picks up wither at room service or reception. The reception is hardly to be found and they are rude. We had a problem with the air conditioning and no one from the reception helped. They just kept telling us someone will come and check and they never showed up we had to stay awake the entire night. We also had a problem with the bathroom so atleast someone should come to help us shift tbe luggage they just gave the keys. And the thing which was most bizzare was when the number of guests atbthe hotel increased they stopped their live egg station saying the chef is on leave.
