The bathrooms are in sore need of an upgrade

Leftover food tray full of flies and all sorts of bugs at the front of my door left by previous guests? And the tray of leftover foods did not move during my stay. Milk stains all of the tea and coffee area bench. Shower has a concerning amount of calcium build up. The touchscreen would not let me turn on the fan, aircon was not cold at all, it needs to be cleaned, and I spent the entire night feeling hot with no way to cool down. Did not get told breakfast was continental and the servers did not offer anything else. I was more than willing to buy a better breakfast as I had a busy day ahead and needed the protein to ensure I wouldn’t feel sick

This is not the standard we aim to provide, and I fully understand your frustration. The presence of a leftover food tray, particularly one attracting insects, is unacceptable and reflects a clear lapse in our housekeeping and room inspection processes. Likewise, the cleanliness concerns you raised regarding the tea and coffee area and the shower condition are taken very seriously. These matters should have been addressed prior to your arrival, and I apologise that this did not occur. I am also concerned to hear about the malfunctioning air-conditioning and touchscreen controls. In our climate, effective cooling is essential, and the discomfort you experienced overnight is regrettable. This feedback has been passed on for immediate technical review. Regarding breakfast, I apologise that the continental offering was not clearly communicated and that alternatives were not proactively offered. We understand how important a substantial breakfast is, particularly when you have a full day ahead, and we clearly missed an opportunity to better support you. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage teams so corrective action can be taken. This long weekend stay was comfortable irrespective of the challenge of the power outages and repeated emergency evacuation alarms being set off at 1am and 2:30am. Staff were courteous and accommodating.

Ignored by bar staff, front desk was horrible

Upon gaining my room key, at the front reception desk, I decided to get a drink from the bar. I noticed 2-3 staff members receiving persons coming in to be seated for dining. I understood that perhaps 2-3 mins wait as the bar was unstaffed, the focus was on dining. after a considerable wait (15-20mins) a young girl came into the bar, she had greeted myself and my collogue, we mentioned looks like low staff, she replied yes... and proceeded to say that I'm sorry I will need to arrange the drinks for the people in dining first before we were to be served!! To my shock I was taken back as we waited very patently to be told this! she then proceeded to do exactly as mentioned. we both went directly to our allocated rooms, it had been a very long day, and to be told this was too much, it would not have taken her more than 2 mins to obtain the drinks we were requiring..... Very poor service.....

Waiting 15–20 minutes and then being advised that you could not be served, despite having waited patiently, is understandably frustrating and not the standard of service we expect to deliver. Your feedback regarding the interaction with our staff member has been taken seriously, and I regret that this left you feeling overlooked after what had already been a long day. While we do experience periods of low staffing, this should never result in guests feeling dismissed or prioritised unfairly. A more considerate and efficient approach should have been taken, and we acknowledge that this was not handled appropriately. Please be assured that your comments have been shared with our management and food and beverage teams so this can be addressed through further training and operational review.
