We stayed at ibis hotel in Liverpool haydock. The location was great. When me and my husband got in the room it was clean and tidy and the bathroom was lovely, we was looking forward to staying as it was our first time booking this hotel. We usually stay in the travelodge across the way.however the bed in the room was horrendous, it was way to hard. My husband is disabled and suffers from osteoarthritis of the spine. We both found the bed to hard and none of us got any sleep. my husband was in alot of pain due to this and spent much of his time perched on the chair as the bed was way to uncomfortable for him. We were both extremely tired and had a long journey back home the next day. The room itself was nice but the bed and lack of sleep let it down for us and we felt like we had wasted our money. Unfortunately due to this we won't be staying at this hotel again.
Dear selinahodgkinson, thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay, I am delighted you were happy with your room however I am sorry to learn that you found the bed very uncomfortable. We are in the process of replacing our mattress toppers which will most definitely improve the comfort of our beds. I am very sorry we did not have this in place for your stay. Kind regards Marie

Trip ok,hotel ok but dont expect the RITZ for the very competitive prices.Asked for two more pillows at about 8.30 and was told they would be brought to room in about 15 mins but had to go to reception an hour later and ask again as they were not delivered.Not the end of the world but disappointing.

Friendly staff, clean room, generally decent place for the price. Cleaner than Bristol's Radisson Blu at a fraction of the cost. I had a lovely night sleep, the room was basic but nice and had everything I needed.

Disappointing Business Stay

A very disappointing stay with poor service. This hotel is far from the usual good service I would experience from the Ibis brand. After arriving 30 mins before the standard checkin time due to a good journey, I presented myself to the check-in desk to see if I maybe a blue to checking early. I was presented with a very unhelpful staff member who barked a 'no' with no further advice. One may have thought a direction to you could wait in the bar area and will advise as soon as a room is ready may have been optional. I walked away to the bar area and seated myself, much to my surprise coach after coached arrived who were immediately checked in. Shortly after the dart of check-in time a member of the team found me in the bar were a key was issued. Despite being a gold member, no welcome drink or service was provided. The room I was allocated was on the second floor, unfortunately situated next to what can only be descried as an 'open door' room adjacent to me, with various comings and goings throughout the night. This with a very noisy corridor of staff members all morning left for poor sleep. I would strongly advise any business travellers to avoid this hotel, which really is very very poor for the brand.

we were expecting a standard hotel, however pleasantly surprised to find it was a much cleaner, comfortable,spacious and decent place to stay. Plenty of ammenities and staff were friendly and helpful, we would definately stay here again.The only downside was we were facing the main road which is a very busy road and the noise even when you close the window was a little disruptive, could do with better glazing.
