The sofa bed left me bruised

Looking into how to raise a complaint. Room 123 the sofa bed mattress actually left bruises on my body due to the springs digging in so much. 3 night stay and not one bit of sleep. I could not let my kids sleep in it as it was painful so I had to sleep in it myself. Hotel was fully booked so I had to deal with it. Avoid if all rooms are the same

Dear Lynsey Thank you for your review. Our apologies you found the sofa bed uncomfortable, although the sofa beds are not ideal for adults and recommend them only for children under 12 years of age. Honestly if I had read other reviews first I probably wouldn’t have booked to stay here. However…. I was really impressed. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and this ranks as one of the good ones. Polite and helpful staff Clean Modern room Comfortable bed Great breakfast Handy for Vox and NEC I would stay here again!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Reception staff very helpful, especially Victor or Vitor, who was a lovely young man to deal with. Restaurant was a bit slow and chaotic in the evenings but the food was very nice. Breakfast was self serve good food and hot 👍🏻

Awful stay. Communal areas literally looked like a bomb site, filthy stains on my carpet, bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Good luck using the bike rack, it’s being used as a skip. On my last night they had the audacity to charge £300 a night for all this. I will not be using ibis styles again.

Dear Daydream Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel and submit the photos of your stay. The communal areas you have highlighted are the stairwells being used to move fixtures and fittings from the bedrooms as we continue our refurbishment of the hotel. The bike rack (not the hotels) did have rubbish there whilst the contractors removed debris. The hotel only asked for the room rate that you had booked which was not £300. 15min walk to the airport!!

Just be aware this is not the one right by the airport. It is a 15 minute walk to the airport! Highly recommend the club sandwich though in the restaurant.

Dear Dawesje Can you contact the hotel General Manager why you have reviewed the hotel as 1 out of 5 stars when you have said the food was good and the only negative was you booked the hotel by mistake, seems a very harsh review and score. Kind regards
