Booked a room on Novotel on 4th December. Really had a great 5 star experience. Check in was a breeze and would like to say thanks to Lance who made the experience so enjoyable. Love the room which is definitely bang for your buck, a top notch hotel at really good value. The pool was spectacular and the breakfast experience makes the whole experience so memorable. Also like to say thanks to General Manager Piotr for making this stay an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend Novotel and Mercure on Stevens to my friends. Definitely a hidden gem in Singapore. Look forward to coming back.

Amazing experience at The Novotel Mercure

We stayed at the Novotel and Mercure for a family wedding function with many rooms and banquet space booked across both hotels. While there were few hiccups, the team at the hotel went out of their way to make it a grand success. Special mention to Lance at the Front desk, who helped with many last minute requests and always dealt with us courteously and with a smile. Thank you Lance for everything that you did and I do hope you get some rest as well. I would also like to Thank Gowri and Azli for seamless execution at the Banquets. Shout out to their team as well for managing all our requests with utmost care and promptness. Lastly, many thanks to Adrian for his assistance. Mohamed at the Food exchange was also great. My apologies of I have missed out on many names, thank you to the entire team for making our wedding event a success. Regards, Karan

Check-in: - Check-in staff forgot about Gold Member's Welcoming Drinks until I reminds him. - Missing welcoming amenity for gold member, this is the 2nd time in a row for this same property. Room: - What is the point of having an ironing board but no iron in the room, can some one explain this? - Understand that the hotel is trying to provide less one-time item in the room, but a bar of hand soap is for maintaining personal hygiene and should not be one of those item that goes missing - Can one not put a giant couch in front of the curtain and force the guess to climb on the couch to shut the curtain? This is just plain stupid. - One of the power outlet in my room doesn't even work. House Keeping: - Laundry took 4 days to turn back, and it won't even show up until I called them 3 times the same night to find out what exactly is going on. - I refuse to pay the laundry bill as the item arrived 4 days AFTER the contractual agreed turn around time, she still dare to argue with me demanding for payment with not a smile in her face like I did something wrong. Staff: - It is too much to ask for a smile? I don't recall seeing any staff members that wears a smile, besides housekeeping. This is 2x terrible experiences I have had in a row staying at this property, either the management needs to be replace, or this is what Accor standard is like today. Not staying here ever again.

UPDATE: Finally at 11pm, Mr Sunny, Guest relation manager, called us and offered to upgrade our room to the suite as well as a very late checkout to compensate. A small cake was also delivered the next day to celebrate our happy occasion. More could be done by other staff as we had given ample opportunities. Even though something was done in the end, it only came at 11pm when we were well rested in bed. Lots of staff training has to be done for the others. We’ll give the hotel a chance again, with all credit due to Mr Sunny. Original: Took many emails back and forth to book the room due to staff’s continuous error in booking date or booking name. This was a room that i was entitled to due to me hosting my wedding here. Felt unwelcome as if it was a chore to reserve the room for me, worst still, i was a gold member of the hotel. Upon checking in, room was dirty with leftover food on the floor and rubbish on the seats. Fridge was empty, and there wasnt even handsoap given in the toilet. Overall a bad experience thus far.
