Very smart hotel, very modern key card system. The room was OK but for me having a bath in the room was a total waste of space. The coffee machine wasn’t that good and the housekeeping to our room on the poor side. The location of the hotel is very good.

We loved the hotel and would recommend to anyone wanting a central Auckland base close to shops and restaurants. The staff were super friendly during our stay from the reception to the breakfast they could not have been more helpful. There is a guest service person to greet you and explain the hotel when you arrive which was a great touch. Rooms are well laid out, comfortable beds and big windows to overlook the harbour or city views which we had a bit of both. The pool with sauna area is a fantastic asset within this hotel. This hotel has amazing staff, ambience with location and style we will look forward to our next stay.

Chiara was an amazing waitress at the SO Hotel restaurant, kind, helpful, and very friendly. She took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect during our meal. She also gave me some great ideas on what to do in Auckland, which was super helpful since I am visiting. A special mention goes to the chai latte she made—it was the best I have ever had and made the experience even better.

Amazing hotel. Incredible staff. The kitchen is remarkable. Best food in Auckland. Buy an, Jose and Kas truly understand customer service. The Brazilian chef in the Harbour View is outstanding. Great rooms. Location. Highly recommend!!!
