Absolute disappoint ment

Booking arranged through travel agent as 1st night in Auckland. Bad vibes when told hotel door was locked for safety at 2pm and we would need our room key to enter the Hotel!Apartment” looked like it was from Crossroads Motel (TV series in the UK about second rate motel during the 1960’s 70’s. Floors in bathrooms and kitchen grimy, paintwork chipped and scuffed, walls scuffed and dated and faded white goods. The showers were also yuk. When checking in we had to leave a 50$ deposit in case we caused any damage! And the piece du resistance was the mirrored wardrobe door which was smashed at the bottom. I took photos in case we were accused of causing this. This is the last time visiting NZ, hopefully our motels booked for the rest of our trip will outshine this one.

Our first stay and definitely will return again. Our room was on Level 24, offering excellent views of the city and harbour. The suite was in excellent condition, clean, tidy, spacious. The bonus was a full sized washing machine and clothes dryer tucked away in its own small room. The beds were of the usual high Accor standard with spare pillows, blankets and quilt in the hallway cupboard. The kitchen was fully equipped with good sized fridge, microwave oven, regular oven, electric stove top, small dishwasher and pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Nothing really has been forgotten in the suite’s fixtures and fittings.
