The outside of the hotel is the 1st hint this is a below par establishment. Reception is modern enough up on entry and check in was OK. Arrived around 5 maybe 6 pm entry to my room was delayed as the room wasn't ready. The room was very tired and 90s looking. The room was clean but the wall paper was coming off and bubbled (evidence of a leak maybe) there is a a safe. Breakfast and restaurant were good and the wood was good. Could hear clearly othe occupants and it sounded like they were in my bathroom when they used the toilet. The was are clearly very thin and not sound proofed. 2 stars are for the clean room, Breakfast and restaurant but that's it. Crossed of the team list of hotels to stop in during a stay in the area.

The bedroom was clean and comfortable, but had no small toiletries or sanitary bags. I was dismayed to find that many of the plates in the restaurant were chipped and some of the mugs were stained.

The hotel didn't have the heating system working in the lobby, the bar and in the restaurant. Outside the temperature was -4°, inside maybe 10°. I had to have breakfast and dinner with the coat on ! there were portable little stove around to mitigate the temperature. Incredible for a hotel that pretend to be 4 stars! No apologize from anyone at the hotel, I paid 100% the cost. In addition, during the check out, my colleague found 30€ charged for bar service that didn't take place. They anyway took the extra money from the credit card and after having checked the mistake, didn't provide the reimbursement on the credit card, that is the fastest way to give the money back! and the lady on the counter wasn't friendly at all during the circustance. I'll never go back at the Mercure.

4 stars? No way..

Hotel is getting worse by the year. Staff at the desk isnt motivated to help or even great you, the hotel itself needs some big renovation work, breakfast is bad and rooms are really noisy. It isnt what it used to be. Location is ok but that isnt the priority.

Excellent experience we were greeted by a lovely man Owais Goub. Who greeted us with great customer service. He made us feel very welcomed and relaxed. Will definitely visit again.It was very nice to be next to a big shopping mall with lots of nice places to eat. It was a big bonus knowing we also had a lovely heated pool in the pool. The kids loved it.
