Our first trip in over 12 months. Have stayed at Mercure Albert Park previously and it was like coming home. Greeted by staff on arrival and understandable a genuine excitement in the air. Fully recommend the Mercure and look forward to our next opportunity to stay here. Wonderful service by Valet Parking team and food and service in the Atrium Lounge excellent. Too many great staff to remember all their names. 10/10.

No complaints we received an upgrade! Pool & sauna as enjoyable as ever. Staff always polite & helpful. Breakfast had a fair selection of items, couple of which could have been hotter (do a few heat checks?) yet was still enjoyable. Stayed a few times now and will return again.

I recently attended a 2 day Retreat arriving very tired on Sunday evening. Room service was excellent, very professional staff in every area. Our workshop was held in house and food provided was tasty and well presented. Room was very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great position, polite and helpful staff, convenient, nice views, spacious rooms with no noise transfer and a roomy environment in the hotel. Close to transport and pleasant walking nearby. Easy access to carpark.

my second stay at the Mercure at Albert Park staff were great from check in to check out. Rooms older style but clean and bright Location perfect if you are doing something in the city or need to go to the suburbs

Location was fantastic close to the city and St Kilda with a five minute walk to a major Tram stop. We had a lake view room which had a pleasant outlook, was larger and more comfortable for us and the 18 month old with us with plenty of run around room.

We were pleasantly surprised with Loft room, wasn’t sure what to expect as there weren’t any photos on the Mercure Website, room is older style wise but very spacious, very good value for the price we paid. Lounge downstairs with dining table, sofa (bed), kitchenette, TV. Upstairs there is a separate bedroom with another TV, bathroom with shower and separate bath, the toilet is also upstairs. The service upon checking in was excellent, we used valet parking which was great. A good variety at the buffet breakfast each day, we also had dinner at the restaurant which was excellent.

Friendly but cold

In general my whole stay was good however the Air Conditioner in my room was not adjustable and seemed to be permanently stuck on 22 degrees with fan running all the time. I asked Service to check but I'm not sure if the ever did. I have no idea what the actual temperature way and I only know that I felt cold for the first 2 nights. Why have a control on the wall if it does not work???

Good quality motel within walking distance of everything I needed, meals and alcohol were over priced however. The service was good, nothing appeared to be a problem and the stay was otherwise enjoyable.

10/10 for windows restaurant, great service great food. Almost perfect stay except for the road noise from the lake side. The rooms were well presented, bathrooms probably due for a renovation and freshen up. Concierge service was very good, we did have to ask for our complimentary water upon arrival.

The Mercure is a great hotel in a top location and has all the facilities of more expensive hotels . Friendly staff , and access to all the services of the Pullman make it a great choice when staying in Melbourne

Great location but....

We stay at this hotel quite regularly because of it's lovely location just out of the city. Unfortunately our recent stay wasn't as pleasant. as usual. Upon arrival we waited over 20 minutes to checkin as there were only two staff members mid afternoon. Our room was spacious but badly in need of a refurb: the carpet was worn and rippled, the bathroom shower was mouldy and the bed mattress sagged in the middle. Of great concern to us was when we returned to the hotel on Christmas night. Fire alarms were ringing and fire trucks were parked outside. There was no evidence at all of any co- ordination of a fire evacuation plan: no notifications, guests using lifts etc. When I asked a reception supervisor why no plan was instigated when the alarms were ringing he responded that it is only when there's a genuine fire!!! I shook my head and walked away. Having worked in public buildings when fire alarms ( genuine (?) or otherwise, a plan is immediately activated. Guests were left wondering what to do. We are Accor members but I'm not sure we will stay there again.

I stayed 4 nights at Mercure Albert Park and it was a good experience. All the staff were so helpful and made me feel welcome. No noise on a very busy road and Annabel from the Café was such a lovely person.

Two Night in the Mercure Loft

The rooms were fantastic. an upstairs bedroom with TV and a large lounge room downstairs with a kitchenette, which included a microwave but there no plates,or cutlery, so what was the point. The apartment had great storage facilities both upstairs and downstairs. What I really liked was the fridge it was an old fashioned one, with a freezer and it kept all my drinks cold, unlike the new Accor fridges which can double as ovens. our dinner was the seafood buffet night which has been reintroduced and if you are a seafood fan, this was good value, if you were not a buffet fan, then you would be in trouble as the a la crate is not available. We have stayed at the Mercure-Pullman Albert Park on a number of occasions and the staff as always have been excellent as have been the facilities.

The staff were amazing and the Executive Lounge was very nice. The Lady that ran the executive lounge was amazing. We felt very special! Breakfast was very good and everything was well run. The coffee machines were cumbersome and annoying but other than that it was great stay!

We had a wonderful time, excellent place to stay. We had dinner at the bar and it was wonderful with generous sizes, buffet breakfast with a great range of things to choose from. Very well worth staying here.

The room stank of musty damp, bathroom was horrid, aircon was noisy, overal;l a hotel to be avoided at all cost. It looks like the owners haven't spent a dollar on the place since it was built. The worst was the stink in the ro9om -- NEVER EVER AGAIN

Pullman Mercure on Albert Park. Four night stay in a lake view Privilege room. Room was very worn, thin old carpet, faded paint chipped and marked architraves and mouldings, lights that didn't always work and a toilet flush that stuck and stuck and stuck and wasted precious water in this drought stricken country. Breakfast is your usual odd buffet breakfast served world wide in these hotels; watery scrambled eggs, bacon,kransky mini sausages , fried hash browns, and assorted other bits and a automated coffee machine that serves up a type of caffeine swill. Pluses. Great position, staff are friendly and accommodating, room service is swift and of course it's at an eye watering price but it is your choice at the end of the day. 3 stars is a fair indication of the level your looking at here. They have good online deals if your prepared to put up with the daily spam from Accor Hotels for ever and ever...

Normally everything goes well here but on arrival at 1 am I walked a long way to my room only to find it wasn't made up despite an email from the staff asking me to reconfirm the late check in. No welcome gift on arrival and the restaurant opened 5 minutes late for breakfast. Not normally an issue but a tight schedule meant that it was. Staff were very apologetic and did their best to make amends.
