Great location, needs a refurb!

Incredibly convenient location right next door to Westfield. Lovely lobby area. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was quite rundown and old. Needed a refurb majorly. The apartment itself was really spacious but the old and rundown furniture just made it feel slightly dirty.

Great location easy parking and spacious. Previous person’s food left in kitchen and despite requests not removed. Limited help at reception.

Disappointing stay - ideal if you love Westfield and train noise, but needs an upgrade. Even the sign on the building!

Very disappointing. So, so tired and dirty. Everything needs to be upgraded from the keys, to the carpet, to the crockery, linen and furniture. Housekeeping is not up to scratch with greasy glasses and plates.

Not a typical Sebel! Location is great and convenient. Booked through the Accor app and chose breakfast only to find out at arrival they don’t have a buffet breakfast. Instead, they give you a breakfast bag which didn’t look very good for the price! The building is quite old and dated. The room was spacious but the bed and pillows weren’t comfortable at all. Aircon heater didn’t work well and it was a very cold night in an old building so it was very cold! Amenities were ok! Place could do with a good clean as well!

The only reason I didn’t do a joyful spin upon arrival was that I had just survived a 14-hour flight and was running solely on spite and airline peanuts. The peeling paint in the lobby should’ve been my first clue. Nothing quite says “welcome” like a wall shedding its skin. Sure, the property is old... but then again, so is The Plaza. The difference? The Plaza doesn’t look like it gave up on life in 1997. Let’s talk cleanliness, or rather, the absence of it. The bathroom came with a complimentary mold collection, the linens were fashionably stained, and the kitchen appliances were disgusting, caked with crusted food and filth. Meanwhile, the spa was broken, and the gym equipment seemed to be hanging on to its functionality by a thread and some duct tape. But hey, it wasn't all that bad, because I've been looking for a hotel room with a VHS player since 1995. To be fair, the location is excellent. Chatswood offers lots of dining options, and the Metro is nearby. The staff were genuinely kind and courteous, which made it all the more awkward that they work in what feels like the setting of a low-budget horror movie. They couldn't do much about the fact that the ownership has given up on maintaining the property. Bottom line: The owners need to stop cashing checks and start reinvesting in this place, preferably before someone accidentally gets tetanus from a doorknob. I won’t be back.
