Best hotel suite we've ever stayed in.

50th wedding anniversary and we were staying at Manly Breakwater Beachfront Manly for 7 nights and then 3 nights at Quay West. Suite 2903 is described as a 3-bedroom Harbour View Penthouse. Not sure how it's a penthouse given that the lifts go to the 38th floor but it didn't matter. The suite was magnificent and quite breathtaking. As you enter, an enormous vista of the Harbour is in front of you, from the bridge and the Opera House and across the water to Sydney Heads. Night or day, that view is amazing. To the right of the enormous living area is the main bedroom and ensuite with spa bath. The view from that room is equally good, especially if you open the glass door to the balcony. To the left of the living room are the two other bedrooms with views across to Barangaroo. These rooms share a large bathroom. All bedrooms have TVs as does the living room. The beds we used were exceptionally comfortable and very quiet so we slept really well. Also to the left is a long, well-appointed kitchen. The kitchen is separate from the living room but both lead on to the 8-seater dining area which also has access to the balcony. The hotel is very centrally located and just a short stroll to a tram stop, Circular Quay, the Rocks area and the Opera House. The QV building and shops are only two tram stops away. Tip: there are two entrances to the hotel so ask for the Gloucester Street entrance when arriving but use the Harrington Street when heading out on foot. There is also a handy mini-mart a few metres to your left when you come out onto Harrington Street. Taxis are plentiful but we used Hughes Chauffers to get us from the airport to Manly, Manly to Quay West and Quay West to the airport. The taxi ride from Aria restaurant back to Quay West on our last night was, mercifully, short but that maniac driver was bad enough to ensure that we avoid taxis whenever possible in the future. Whilst breakfast was included in our room rate, we only ate there once because we are not breakfast people. However, there is no buffet breakfast and meals are cooked to order, so we enjoyed it. We also had room service one night and the burgers were good. The pool area is huge with 2 separate indoor pools and sundecks. On the day we swam there, we had the entire area to ourselves. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. We have stayed at Surry Hills for our last few trips to Sydney but we'll definitely stay at Quay West again. At Manly, we had great meals at Kushi, Hugo's, The Pantry, Garfish and The Herring Room. At Sydney, we ate at Kingsleys of Woolloomooloo (a long-time favourite like Garfish), Bennelong and Aria and had drinks at the outside bar at Pier One.

Fabulous will be back.

Great place with incredible views. we were in 1404 and loved it. Bejamine was an absolute gem in every way. He couldn't do enough for us even when we were sick. He is a definite keeper for this establishment. Its in the rocks which is an amazing place. Menu could be better especially room service dining. Staff friendly, had a great time.

We have just had the most spectacular 3 days in the Penthouse suite for our daughters wedding. We cannot thank you all enough. The service, the staff everything was perfect. What a fantastic apartment! The view is amazing. Luxury at its best. Thankyou so so much xxxx

Amazing hotel in a great location!

We have just completed a five night stay at this amazing hotel and couldn’t be happier! I was celebrating a special birthday early and found upon arrival in our room a card and a cake which was a nice touch. Despite not paying for a Harbour Bridge view, we had one as well as a great view of the cruise ship dock where we saw one arrive and leave each day. The room itself was amazing, fast WiFi, a safe, sofabed, fridge and everything possibly needed. The staff were all very helpful and helped with anything at all we needed. We ate breakfast in the hotel on one of the days which was fantastic and well priced. A tip - go to floor 23 which is the pool, sauna area and there is a fantastic skyline view of both the bridge and opera house. Fortune of War located nearby is a nice place for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Really happy with our stay at the hotel, and Sydney as a whole and I hope to return to both one day!

Comfortable stay

We've just come back from our few nights there and didn't want to leave. We were upgraded to a refurbished room on arrival which was unexpected but definitely appreciated. The bathroom didn't seem to be refurbished though and we found the shower itself a bit small, but it did the job. They made our daughter feel special for her birthday as well with a little teddy, cake and card. The room was nice and light. We were a bit cold at first but managed to find the heating, so were comfortable after that. We had arrived on a wet cold day unfortunately. We were initially confused when the pull out bed didn't have a pillow on it but there were plenty of spares to choose from. The main bed and bedroom was super comfortable! One of the best I've had. The room was serviced daily if we wanted it to be. There was a mini bar which we didn't use but did notice that what was on the menu didn't quite reflect what was there so may need updating. E.g. there was meant to be 2 of something but was only 1, so we wondered if it would look like we had it. There was also something listed that wasn't there. Again not a big deal as we didn't use it anyway. There was a little bit of work going on above us which we didn't realise was happening. It didn't last long though luckily. The view wasn't too bad (city view), but they have an observation deck which gives a great view so make sure to check it out. It was in a good location, close to Circular Quay and other transport. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
