Broken, filthy, rude.

This place has so much potential but it’s being let down by poor staff and excuses everywhere. So many things are broken and staff’s response is ‘oh it’s not Pullman’s responsibility it’s Strata’ Or ‘that’s the owners responsibility’. BUT we booked and paid Pullman based on facilities Pullman advertised! Not an owner or Strata?! List of broken facilities: Heating for indoor pool broken Gate for main pool broken Floor of main pool broken Spouts in kids pool broken Jets in sauna pool broken EV charger broken When we arrived our villa was beyond filthy, thick layer of dust and filth in every single corner. Dead bugs all over the floor. The patio table was rotten, broken and missing a slat. These Villas cost $700+ a night! When we asked for a new patio table as the one provided was unusable, the housekeeping staff screamed in my face that it was the owner’s responsibility and they couldn’t do anything. I asked them to clean the villa before we unpacked and they just threw bleach everywhere and mopped up the filth, in the bare minimum needed. It seems all the broken facilities have been broken for ages with no intention to be fixed. The ‘broken’ signs are old and tattered having been up for ages. There is a large black a mat on the pool floor to hide the broken pool floor rather then fixing it. All these poor reviews are honest and real. Beware. This place needs a serious revamp and rethink. So much amazing potential.

Outrageous pricing for drinks. Was charged $5 for a small glass of Sprite which was half filled with ice. Sprite was from a 1.25L bottle so likely they charging close to $50 a bottle. Outright greed and never returning. The two bar staff, one pouring and one taking payment, appeared totally uninterested. Very disappointing.

Absolutely disgraceful and rude condescending service. Booked a studio room only to receive a phone call 2 hours before check in that the aircon isn't working and it won't be working for the duration of the stay. They couldn't move us to a different room due to the hotel being at capacity apparently. Eventually offered $50 food and beverage credit for the first night, a few extra old fans were also offered with a move to a different room the following day. Upon arrival we were told the room isn't ready and we would receive a call when it was ready. At 3.25 still no phone call with check in being 3pm. Reception was rude and when questioned why no call was received was told 'we are unable to monitor what's happening and we are busy'. Don't promise something you can't deliver. On top of this all, when we wanted to open the sliding door for some air and ventilation whilst in the room after dinner the security door didn't lock. Couldn't contact reception of course as they close at 10pm and we discovered the lock wasn't working after this time, unable to resolve the safety/security issue as no other room is available regardless. We pre booked breakfast however we were told we might need to sit at the bar stools out of the breakfast area as the restaurant might not have any tables left. Why advertise breakfast as 7-10am when you need to prebook a table apparently? Have never experienced this at other hotels. Will never stay at Pullman Magenta Shores again. After staying a few times over the years the hotel and service has dropped dramatically.

The original booking resulted in a massive overcharge by the hotel, pre paid breakfast rates were wrongly charged, this was corrected at my request and overcharge refunded. On arrival, room was not ready at the guaranteed time, a room upgrade was given but still over an hour delay to move in. Staff levels and their skill level was poor, any service or meal requests were very slow. Major problem occurred in the restaurant when staff claimed we had not paid in advance, highly embarrassing and disrupting. Seeking to correct their mistake we met disbelief and rudeness, eventually we were able to speak to a manager who was able to identify the company’s error. Was very hard to get service in restaurant and bars due to poor staff levels and delivery very slow. We stayed at peak time and paid peak tariff, so expected value for money which was not delivered. Did not receive any housekeeping services throughout the 4 day stay. Property and service did not meet expectations

This Pullman resort has always been our preferred accommodation in this area, their villas were great and easy to access, you can just park your car right in front of the villa, we got everything we need to cook here and it is just about 7 minutes drive to The Entrance.
