My husband and I stayed here for three nights, and it was just okay. The room was not meant for two people. The way it was set up, there was barely room enough for one. The room was a good size, but it was poorly set up with furniture that was unnecessary. The bathroom was very small, and the size of the vanity was laughable. The was barely enough room for our toothbrushes. Under the bedside tables were motion-sensor lights. As soon as your foot hit the floor getting out of bed, they came on. Once back in bed, they turned off in after few minutes. We appreciated that, but they were so bright they lit up the room. I'd recommend using lower-wattage light bulbs. One the plus side, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and they even offered made-to-order omelets. Bottom line: from the reviews I read, I expected better.

Excellent location, close to both the shopping and the gorgeous waterfront which sets Sydney apart. Also within meters of some the best restaurants Sydney has to offer...We had Club access and it was the best decision we made, a comfortable place to linger over breakfast reconnecting with family, enjoy drinks and canapés before heading out to the city. The staff at the Club were excellent, hospitable and keen to assist in any way. The rooms and beds are super comfortable, clean and well appointed. We did miss the use of a pool but I hear the Gym, spa is almost ready in the near future.

I am sorry to learn that the check-in procedure was not as smooth as it should have been. As you mentioned, we have recently introduced Self-Registering terminals to assist during busy periods, however we still offer our Guest Relations Desks for those that would rather register with one of our team members. I will share your feedback with our Front Office Manager to ensure our hosts are directing the guests accurately, so that they can use their preferred way of checking-in. Best Club Lounge Anywhere

Prior to this stay, I hadn’t stayed at the Sofitel Wentworth for over 10 years, and was keen to try it out again post-refurbishment. In short - my stay was spectacular. My bags were immediately taken on arrival, and my Accor Platinum status was recognised by way of early check-in, late checkout, a beautiful room upgrade, Club Lounge access and a lovely welcome amenity comprising wine and chocolates. I loved my room, where everything was clean and perfect, but it is the Club Lounge and the staff which make this hotel really stand out to me. I’ve tried out many Club Lounges in NZ, Australia and Asia, but this one is the best I’ve ever experienced. Unusually, the food offerings changed each day which I thought was fantastic. There was a huge variety of food available, and all of it was fresh and delicious. The absolute highlight was the Peking duck, which was incredible! There was also a great drink selection, and the French sparkling wine on offer was excellent. Another bonus was the fact that for the evening drinks and canapés, they open up additional areas - so it doesn’t feel crowded, unlike some other hotels. I can’t thank the amazing staff enough, especially in the Club Lounge. They were truly exceptional, and went above and beyond throughout my stay. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they were always so genuinely friendly and kind. And they always refilled my drink before I even had to ask! :-) I loved my stay here so much, and I can’t wait to return again soon :-)

A Lady Re-vitalised to beauty and style

We have always stayed at Sofitel on our trips to Sydney but the hotel was beginning to feel jaded and old. Thankfully ALL carried out renovations over the past year or so and how beautiful the hotel looks today. Check-in was personal or you had receptionists ready to assist and I loved the no touch elevator system which adds to your health and safety. The rooms are refreshed as is everything else. This was our second visit in two weeks and we had a chance to visit the club lounge last week and it is beautiful from the warm reception from staff to the choice of food and beverage offered really top banks here. Now the atrium WOW have they done a great job here and you don't have to be a guest to visit the fifth floor for a casual drink or meal top marks. My only disappointment was room service it really needs reviewing by management.
