A beautiful, elegant, timeless and unpretentious hotel with World class views. I stayed in the most spectacular room overlooking the ramparts. It really felt like a privilege to stay here, right in the heart of Carcassonne. Cant wait to stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. From my first human contact with Julien via email, who remembered me when we checked in, to Xavier the GM who introduced himself and help us get into our rooms early, the entire staff were friendly and helpful. The property is very nice and our rooms were comfortable and quiet. The location in the old city is special. Highly recommend this hotel.

a bit disappointing 5 star hotel

Beatuful premises, however due to its old construction, it did limit some of the amenities someone might be llokiing at a 5 star hotel, I would judge it at best a 4 star. Restaurant previously rated by Michelin, nowadays no longer, and extremely overpriced, for what was offered. I had a very tasteless cod fish, and my wife had a legume plate. However the desserts were absolutely divine, kudos to the baker chef! It is located inside the wall city, but frankly this is a fake walled city since most of the building inside were demolished and rebuiit, except for the castle, which there is only the construction to visit, empty inside, so to me a tourist trap! One day is more that enough if you are planning to visit Carcassone, and outside the walled city there are a few good decent hotels.

We visited for our wedding anniversary.. Lovely setting with excellent service from all the staff, and there is a seamless transfer from the private car park. It is well worth the fee. We ate inthe restaurant as well. Very well cooked with faultless service.

The food was absolutely divine and the service impeccable. We were served by Mohamed Ali, who we were surprised to find hails from our home land , Malta. He took the time to explain or meals in our native tongue of Maltese. Lives up to the Michelin recommendation.
