A beautiful spot to see the desert and the famous "Rock". The hotel is starting to look a bit run-down and could use some TLC but not so much as to detract from where you are. My biggest complaint is the food. The quality is average at best, and in the hotel's main restaurant it is expensive. Try to eat either at the town square or the hotels bar. You don't' go here for the food in either spot. Also, the pool is not heated nor any unique design.

Good stay, f&b outlets are quite scarce

Stayed 4 nights for the main purpose to visit Uluru and Kata Tjuta. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready yet, but we could already checked ourselves in and left the suitcases behind. Went to have lunch and some groceries at nearby f&b outlet. When we came back to the hotel, the room was ready and the suitcases were already in the room. We booked superior room, room is spacious. Bathroom is also spacious. Good bathroom and bedroom amenities. A small patio outside the bedroom, facing partly to the empty background, the terrace had the appearance that it had not been swept for quite long time. Room was neat but there was a big stain on the carpet beside the bed, that did not look very neat. Also there was a red stain on the tile just next to the toilet, that did not look very hygienic to our eyes. We reported this to front desk clerk, they said they would pass it on the housekeeoing. Unfortunately they didn’t come to clean it up, so when I passed the housekeeper the next day I reminded her about the stain, i guess she did not understand me, she said she would clean up my room directly, which she actually did, but the red stain was still there. Funny enough, the same housekeeper had accidentally left her cleaning cloth behind, so I used the cloth to clean the floor up myself :( Housekeeping always came very late, because their priority was to clean up the checked out rooms first, at least ghats what I was told. Hotel itself has 2 f&b outlets. Which are always packed with people. Because frankly there aren’t many places to eat out in the area. We even went to other hotel (all under the same management anyway) to have our meals. Price is quite high but nothing much we could do. It was a good stay, but we had a better expectation, staffs were ok. Some were friendly, others were very reluctant to even smile to the guests. Ukuru is about 30 minutes drive. There is a scenic platform nearby the hotel for the sunset and sunrise scenery.

With a Monopol of all hotels and Attractions you can charge whatever $$$ and not deliver

We spend a couple of days in this venue, with the sole aim to visit Uluru and the National Park. We did a couple of Attractions that are worth to visit. Nevertheless, the hotel Attention was anormal and did not fulfill the Standards they so clearly offer. Rooms are in standard, clean and spacious, Receptionists where arrogant, with a lack of attention and motivated. Service and attention in restaurant were good and food on average, the Buffet offered a large quantity of dishes. Unfortunately, due to our schedule of attractions we had to eat in the Bar, whereas Service and Quality of food was under the Standards, for instance we had a Ceasar salad, that was green salad leaves and badly prepared chicken, served in an unfortunate way, hard and not tasty at all, the Hamburger and the Club sandwich, basic not tasty and fabricated in a quick manner, no eye catcher, French fries soft and not professionally fried, Service was slow and bad. Charges are high for the Standard offer. It gave the overall’s impression that having the MONOPOL of all hotels and Attractions you can charge whatever and not deliver. It was shocking to experience the difference in attention and service received around Australia, in comparation to this venue.

I can almost (sorry the one I can’t remember!) tell every name of the good, professional staff; Angelina, Belle and most of all VERENAISI(absolutely amazing!). I know it’s not the problem of the staff but of the management and there is a lot of potential to improve. We will be back in the red center but for sure not here, my apologies to say that

The hotel is dated, tired and the house-keeping service leaves a lot to be desired. From taking till almost 5pm on our second day to make up our room, to leaving filthy cups in our room on day three. The team are very pleasant but not efficient or timely.
