Uluru amazing, the Lodge not so much

I stayed 3 nights at the LODGE, not the hotel. 20 bed female dorm. Sheets and blanket+pillow provided. You have your own locker for (smaller bag) next to your bunk bed. BRING YOUR OWN PADLOCK for the locker. Shower and toilets were in a nearby separate building. They could have been cleaner. the floor in the showers were discusting. Cleaning once a day is not enough for the amount of people using the facilities. BBRING YOUR OWN TOWEL. The Pioneer lookout is on the hotel ground. Lovely view of Uluru. "City center" is an easy 10-15 min walk away. The free resort bus takes you there conveniently too. The resort is over priced due to everything having to be flown in from somewhere else. During my stay, there was a group of aboriginals staying at the Lodge and boozing every night in Outbacks bar. And they were shouting and screaming way past midnight. Hotel staff did nothing about the noise that kept us awake, even with earplugs. On my last morning the lodge ground looked like a battle field with empty beer cans thrown about & sign posts broken. I reported this to the reception lady and she just shrugged.

There are not that many hotels so close by Uluru and this one is a good option! Ayers Rock resort is a combination of different hotels, the Outback hotel is a very quiet place whitin this area. I loved it. Great breakfast, very calm, nice people at reception.

Great place to stay (although the options are very limited) Nice, large room. Bar / restaurant / nightclub on site. Also the only bottle shop in Yulara (bring photo ID + a room key from any of the hotels). Food at the bar is pricey. For supper, do the grill-your-own BBQ option, which includes the salad bar. 'Town square', grocery store, shops are 10 min. walk away. If doing the Kings Canyon Rim walk, buy your water at the close-by Shell gas station - way cheaper than the hotel.

A good choice for visiting Uluru/Kata Tjuta

If you're making a brief visit to Uluru/Kata Tjuta/King's Canyon, you essentially have to stay at the Yulara resort. And, if doing so, the Outback Hotel may be the best bet. The rooms are a good size, with two very good queen beds in each (why?), plus a small table/chairs, and the whole is well-presented, recently renovated and impeccably clean. At a little under $300/night it's more than you'd pay for the equivalent (better than average) motel room in less remote places, but reasonable value given where you are. Certainly it looks to be good value by comparison with the other Yulara accommodation options. You have access to the whole of the resort and the Outback is an easy < 10 minute stroll from the town centre (there is also a courtesy bus). Check in/out was easy, staff pleasant and helpful and the room cleaning good. Note also that the Outback facility contains what appears to be the only bar in the resort, plus a decent pool. These are good to have on hand, and while there is some live music, it was never disturbing.

Well presented & comfortable rooms with everything you need for a great stay. Pub & food are very close by and most of the staff were fantastic. Shuttle bus service was every 20 minutes to the town centre & every tour we booked - the pickup was on time. Lost a star as our smart tv wasn’t working from day 2 to 6 that they were unable to fix - even though the technician who looked at it, said it was. Overall a wonderful experience and recommend this hotel.
