Was our wedding anniversary and ordered a room with a balcony. Upgraded to a so called better room No balcony and our view was of rusty old air con units. TV not working etc. went to restaurant for a meal and after we ordered a coffee. Told they do not serve coffee and would have to go to the buffet section. Not value for money meal. Very disappointed. Was going to stay an extra night but not there.

Clean, value for money and comfy bed.

Our stay was overnight on our way north. Although located just out of town there were plenty of meal options onsite with bar, bistro and restaurant. Surprisingly a washer dryer was included in the room. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Value for money. You must go out to QAL Lookout at night to see the amazing sight of industry at work, worth the short drive.

Onsite we try to ensure that guests have everything that they may require for a stay, from various dining options, to the 24 hour gym, to the washing machines in the rooms (certainly required for those guests that are on the road travelling). It was good to hear that you were able to get up to the QAL lookout. There is a lot of history to read about and certainly is worth a visit to really see the magnitude of the business. Upon your return I would also suggest to have a look at the Auckland Street lookout, which shows the size of the harbour, all of the industry within the harbour and at the same time watch the sun setting over Mt Larcom. Check in Manager and check out duty manager very helpful and courteous, really nice staff. Upgrade was offered which was really nice room. Lovely and clean as always. Will always try and stay when I Gladstone.

I was told the next morning when I informed the lady at the desk that I was a bit abrupt yet my friends say I was not nasty towards the lady Also have requested three times for a copy of the invoice for my two stays still no invoice

Really enjoyed our overnight stay at Mantra Gladstone. The room was new, fresh and spacious and the service was friendly. Also loved the great choice of free on demand movies. Overall we were very impressed and will stay again next time we are in Gladstone.

Food Bill was removed as it was inedible-on my return to Gladstone we chose to stay at the Oaks due to the poor food at the Mantra-thankfully the Manager removed the food bill and was most apologetic, there were several other coupleswho refused their food as well.

Staff were amazing but unfortunately the food was dreadful-a 1 hour wait for dinner and then it was burnt and inedible, the manager deducted the dinner from our bill!! Very Thankful. We choose to cancel our reservation on the 26th and stayed at the Oaks due to the quality of the Food. Thank You, Dr. Michael D.

Great mostly, new buffet was terrible. Food was awful, dropped gravy and sauces all around the curries. Salads looked like they were tipped out of a packet. Best thing was the small bread rolls.Won’t be back their again. Pacino was good.

Unfortunatley I was unaware (and dissapointed) that my booking didnt have a balcony this time
