Too many unwelcome changes since merger with Peppers

Disappointed from the word go. We are ALL Members and always get free drink vouchers when we arrive, she gave them to us and said we now can’t use them in the coffee/bar area any longer & had to use them at the pool bar. We didn’t have our room yet and no access to our luggage, this was ridiculous and we never use pool area anyway so this perk is now totally useless. We asked to get the key to park underneath she said it was now $15 per day parking. Was previously free. It’s Gladstone for gods sake not Brisbane. We had no choice but to pay as we had a brand new car and the swipe key would not work. Had to go back to reception and she come out and swiped us in and took our keys . Parked and went back to reception to get amended keys she gave us one and I said there were 2 of us and we previously were given 2 keys then they swiped another one for us. Tried to check in early she said our room was nearly ready and she would come and get us as we were in the club but she didn’t. After about 1.5 hours it was after 2 we went back to reception to find out if the room was ready yet and as soon as she saw us she said it was. Nice of her to come and find us, not. Got to our room put the TV on & it said we weren’t checked in yet so rang reception and she had to fix that up. As we are ALL members we also get free water and nibbles and these weren’t in our room. Rang reception again and they said they would be delivered later. We have stayed here many mant times over the last years, and loved being here but sadly we won’t be back. There is a lack of caring or service now. Gave them back the unused drink vouchers when we checked out as they should not be only for pool bar use as this is no good for people who don’t use the pool.
