I stayed here for one night in December 2025. It was during darkness, ie arrived early evening, out early the next morning. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, but the dinner menu was varied and the service in the restaurant was good. The room was as one would expect and had very good lighting. What I didn't like about it was the fact that the door from the corridor opened up straight into the room. In most cases when you enter a hotel room there is a short passage way as the bathroom or cupboard is to one side as you enter and you walk a couple of steps into the sleeping area. In this case, there was no passage and the door opened directly into the sleeping area. That gave a feeling of inadequate privacy, and also some noise from the hallway could be heard. The hotel had plenty of carparking and was easy to find.

Our experience from start to finish was fantastic. The hotel stepped up last minute when we were being let down by another venues complete lack of communication with myself. With 1 & a half week to an annual Xmas lunch for 68 people the hotel far surpassed our expectations. The communication, the price, the food, the service. The staff were very friendly, very helpful and very efficient. It was complete 5 star 🌟 for everyone attending. So much so that we will now be holding our annual event here. The location was easy to find and there was good availability of parking for mobility impaired guests. Many thanks to Rachel for your help and to Karen, Ian and your teams for making it a special event for us.

Recently celebrated our dog club’s 100 year anniversary at the Mercure, we stayed for two nights and enjoyed the on site facilities. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy, often overlooked in reviews, the shower was also excellent. Special mention to the operations manager karen who was there to ensure that the event went off without a hitch, all of the staff were great and they couldn’t do enough to help. Many shops close by and a nice walk around the lake just behind the property. Would definitely recommend.

Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal in jedem Bereich. Eine bessere Bewertung wäre durchaus möglich, wenn die Zimmer sauberer wären und vor der Zimmerübergabe die Zimmer qualitätsmässig untersucht würden. Das erste Zimmer, das man uns gegeben hat, kam im Bad Wasser durch die Deckenbeleuchtung. Das ist für uns ein NO GO!!! und hätte bei der Reinigung des Zimmers festgestellt werden müssen.

Waren auf unsere Rundreise für zwei Nächte dort untergebracht . Eingangsbereich, Bar und Restaurant machen einen guten Eindruck . Empfang war sehr freundlich, auch wenn die unsere Reservierung nicht fanden. Frühstück typisch englisch , aber reduziert. Unser Zimmer zum Parkplatz war ok, schon etwas abgewohnt und könnte deutlich sauberer sein. Lage extrem abseits, dass hat uns auch nicht so gefallen, auch fanden wir Swansea ziemlich dreckig und hässlich, leider.
