Not a great stay.

We arrived late at night and very tired from our long flight. Check in was ok but then the drama started. Our room card would not work on the guest car park entry and then in the early hours of the morning other hotel guests entered our room and obviously scared us awake. Not their fault that they had been allocated our room. Then 1/2 later reception ring and want us to verify what room were in and suggested a room swap, highly unprofessional at 4.30am, I was furious. Next day our room key didn't work on our door again and that night sure enough no access to the car park also. Room curtains were damaged and didn't cover the window, so the room was bright from early morning. Female toilets in the public area were filthy, we advised reception but 2.5 hours later they were the same, disgusting. Seemed to be a "who cares" attitude by senior staff. aside from thatr the room was excellent, clean and comfy bed. Great bathroom and the location of the hotel is fantastic too.

Superb high quality, hotel room, facilities and dining at the WestWaters Mercure hotel complex. It is a one stop shop for leisure or business travellers needing comfortable and quality accommodation in the area with a tonnes of optionality and shopping nearby. Only approx 25 min from Melbourne airport or about 45 min from the cbd the hotel has so much to offer including gym, pool, spa and laundry facilities, live music on weekends, conference facilities, and all day cafe and snacks with the most exciting family friendly bistro dining at night from 5pm all with a magnificent lakeside vista. Amazing, welcoming and professional staff the the most welcoming Mr Abram, the very nice Ms Tammy on reception to the Superchefs Mr Patrick, Michael and Ian in the kitchen, Isabelle, Joseph, Gayan and Amira on the floor looking after all the demanding guests with ease and professionalism. Free parking, pokies on site and local shopping close by. Thank you for everything team Mercure CS!

this hotel has such a lovely ambience. it has a picturesque setting right beside the lake in Caroline Springs. It has a small shopping centre in easy walking distance to it.The rooms are beautiful and peaceful and well eqiuped. the westwaters cafe serves a lovely a la carte breakfast. the westwaters restuarant serves delish lunches and dinners will plenty of choices. the staff are all very helpful and pleasant .

I have mobility issues but can usually manage with grab rails in the bathroom rather than a completely accessible room. However, I use a shower chair at home. I discovered that our room had no grab rails and the floor in the shower was extremely slippery. I wanted to change to an accessible room but there isn't one at this property. Considering the size of the property I would have expected at least one, if not more accessible rooms. Simply not good enough. The food in the Bistro was expensive for what you got. Our dairy industry is in crisis yet they serve foreing butter. Breakfast eggs were not only the tiniest eggs you could find but were rubbery and served on a huge piece of sourdough. If you must use the cheapest eggs on the market at least serve them on a slice ciabatta rather than that huge piece of sourdough that you need a chain saw to cut. Only two disabled car parking spaces in the car park and one was occupied for the whole week by a car that had no permit. Looked like it hadn't been moved all week. I watche done woman struggle to get in and out of her car in a normal space because she couldn't access the disabled car park due to this tiny car which would not have needed the extra space afforded by the disabled space. Staff didn't care.

Our hotel does in fact have 5 accessible rooms available to assists those who may need them which includes shower rails to ensure the guest has a pleasurable stay. I can't speak for the time of your stay, but these rooms do sell out quite quickly. Also, our carpark does have more than two disable car parking spots also, however as you mentioned they are quickly taken. I am sorry to hear about the egg quality, we source our eggs locally, but we will pass this onto chef. Passei alguns dias em Melbourne com minha esposa e filha pequena (4 anos) no Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs e gostamos muito do hotel e instalações. A localização não é central (25 minutos de carro do CBD), mas para quem está de carro ajuda a não ter que enfrentar o trânsito da região central para fazer os passeios próximos a Melbourne (Yarra Valley e Great Ocean Road por exemplo). O hotel fica numa vizinhança muito bonita, em frente a um lago com instalações de lazer e de exercícios. Os quartos são novos e espaçosos e fizemos a opção pela suíte com cozinha completa, o que provou ser muito interessante. Os funcionários foram prestativos conosco e com os nossos pedidos. O único ponto que chamou a atenção foi o fato do alarme de incêndio ter sido acionado 2 vezes durante nossa estadia e entendo que é algo que a gerência do hotel poderá estudar melhorias na estrutura do hotel para evitar maiores transtornos e atender melhor o público.
