A very nice Hotel not far from downtown just 2 trams stops and even walking distance to train station. Nice room for family, modern clean with good service. All amenities included. The tip of the stay is that the hotel offers free the Basel tourist cars which give you free use of public transport and various offers/reduction to various attractions. Very nice and kind staff in reception and very helpful. For Swiss standards the Hotel is value for Money.

Çok kötü bir konaklama Odalar çok soğuktu ( 20-21 derece )merkezi ısıtma da yetersizdi, bu durumu resepsiyona ilettiğimizde bize seyyar bir ısıtıcı verdi ve hatta onu da başka bir oda ile paylaşımlı kullandık. 2 yaşında çocuğumuz ile onu kullanmamız çok riskliydi ama buna rağmen oda ısınmadı. Tuvalet kapısının da kilitlenememesi bir diğer olumsuzluk, ayrıca odada şampuan ve sabun dışında hiçbir şey yoktu.( su ısıtıcısı, diş fırçası, ayakkabı bezi, çamaşır poşeti..) Gecelik 26 frank otopark ücreti çok pahalı, otele ait otoparkın bu kadar pahalı olması kabul edilemez. Restaurant personeli çok kaba, 2. Gece hesabı ödemek için bar kısmına gittiğimizde bizden hemen önce tartıştığı bir personel sebebiyle gergin olan çalışan bize de çok sabırsız ve kaba davrandı.

Decent hotel in Basel, location is a bit of a walk away from the city center (about 25 mins) but quite close to the train station (10mins). We chose this hotel due to the close proximity to the station as we knew that we would be travelling around from here. Room was clean and comfortable with good sized beds and plenty of storage area and a safe. Bathroom was a decent with all the usual toiletries provided etc. We found the room to be a bit warm and muggy but the hotel staff opened the window for us which improved the temperature considerably. We had breakfast at the hotel which was ok, usual hot food choices, eggs bacon, beans, mushrooms etc, also plenty of fruit, cereal, yoghurts, bread and pastries - we had no complaints. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient, and helped us with any queries we had regarding travel etc. Hotel will give you a free travel pass to get around Basel when you arrive which includes buses and trams. Basel is a good base to stay if you want to get out and about in the surrounding areas. We visited Lake Lucerne, which was a charming place and took about 1hr 30 mins to get to. We also went to Strasbourg (about 1hr 40m on train) which is a really lovely city, the fab Christmas markets are on at the moment and it is really worth the effort to make the journey. Finally we also visited my absolute favourite Colmar, what a charming and pretty town, so colourful and vibrant, The xmas markets are also on at the moment and they are so delightful, busy but so worth it. At night the town is magical - like something out of a Disney fairytale, it is stunning, so much work has been put in to making it so special and it really shows - it was an utter delight. This hotel is a good base to stay in Basel if you want to be near the train station, it is quiet, clean with helpful and professional staff.

It was a business like stay. Met expectations of a Novotel stay, but that's all. Nothing memorable or worth special mention. Some disappointments though: welcome amenities for Platinum member was miserly and replies to emails took forever (if they were even replied).
