Location is the only good thing about this hotel , rooms are basic , fairly clean , escalators were broken for the whole duration of our stay . On arrival you are told to pay €100 for each night your staying as a deposit , €400 in our case before you even get your keys , then as we were checking out we were only told about the tourist tax which was €67 for 4 nights which comes out of your deposit, why wouldn’t this be mentioned when checking in ? Strange

Upon arrival we were greeted in a very unprofessional manner. The front staff member Gabriel spoke to us as if we were a piece of rubbish stating we never had a booking, he wouldn’t even let us talk before demanding us to go away and sit down and phone our holiday provider, luckily the women that we spoke to earlier remembered us and made staff member aware that we actually therefore did have a booking and that they put it under the WRONG NAME, Gabriel then wanted nothing to do with us as he then realised he was in the WRONG and stormed away after arguing with us for around 10 minutes not letting us speak about our reservation that we paid over a thousand pound for and telling us our room was cancelled over again, when asking the lovely women who spoke to us with the upmost respect the staff members name to speak to manager she actually made us awareTHAT HE WAS THE MANAGER, if he speaks to guests like this I can only imagine how he speaks to his staff, we then got told we were getting “upgraded” due to our troubles to a queen room however when looking back at booking we already paid for a queen room therefore there was no “upgrade” or service provided to even say sorry, DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Upon arrival we were greeted and treated by the front desk staff in a very pleasant and professional manner. Upon entering our room we found it pleasant and comfortable. Then my husband and I went out for the evening for a couple of hours. Upon our return we found that the room had an overwhelming stench. The stench was so bad we had to change rooms. According to the gentleman who helped us with our bags, this is not an isolated incident and is known by the hotel. The room we were moved to did not have operable air conditioning. We reported this to the front desk the next morning. Nothing happened. I then reported it again the next day and the front desk gentleman informed us that the air conditioning to the rooms had been shut down due to the lateness of the season. He then offered to move us again. This raises the question, what good would it do moving to another room if the air conditioning system was shut down. Eventually a service technician showed up but he just turned the unit off and on. This did nothing to remedy the problem. There is an assumption when booking a hotel room in an establishment such as yours that the guest would be provided with a comfortable and habitable room. Here, the hotel failed miserably. To compensate for this "inconvenience" the hotel offered $40.00 off our next stay. obviously there will not be a next stay. Its important to stress that the stench problem is known to the Hotel.

Such a high class hotel with great service. Rooms were clean on arrival and cleaned subsequently every day we stayed, water and coffee pods replenished, with clean cups too. Perfect quieter location but good walking and transport links, and on route for good cycle lanes. Yes the deposit seems expensive but it makes perfect sense and in our case was refunded within 48hours. Would definitely stay again :)

Large hotel with half the elevators not working causing 5 -10 minute delays every time. One entry escalator also out of service for whole three days. Breakfast options are poor and scattered randomly around the breakfast room. Choice and quality is low. Rooms are tired. Bedroom doors so heavy they are very difficult for older or frail person to push open.
