I recently stayed at Novotel Ahmedabad for one night with 3 adults, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel truly impressed me right from arrival. The dedicated Accor member check-in counter was a great touch. The staff at the counter was extremely welcoming and proactive. While we were comfortably seated, they arranged tea and coffee for us, and by the time we finished, our room was ready with an early check-in at around 11 AM along with a complimentary upgrade to a Studio Suite. The entire check-in process was smooth and well-handled. The Studio Suite was spacious and perfectly suitable for three adults. Lounge access added great value to the stay — the evening tea experience was enjoyable, and I also liked the relaxed environment where I could work and even play a few games of pool. Facilities like the swimming pool and gym were well-maintained and adequate for a comfortable stay. For dining, we opted for an à la carte dinner, and the food was good. One of the dishes — the thali — stood out and felt very homely. However, service at the restaurant needs improvement. The staff was courteous but not attentive enough, and we experienced similar issues during the buffet breakfast. As someone who frequently attends weekly BNI meetings at 5-star hotels, I’ve observed a higher level of attentiveness elsewhere — such as: Taking live counter orders directly from the table Serving tea/coffee proactively Ensuring items being refilled reach guests promptly These aspects were noticeably missing here and could be improved significantly. The check-out experience was quick and seamless, and the departure gift was a thoughtful gesture. Overall Summary: Check-in / Check-out: Excellent (10/10) Food Quality: Good Lounge Experience: Excellent Pool & Gym: Good Service during meals: Needs improvement

The service was terrible. Nobody seemed interested in doing basic things like providing clean cutlery for breakfast. Extremely poor mentality of the service staff and resturant manager. Very lazy attitude towards simple tasks like bringing a menu, providing water, and cutlery.
