I can’t say I had very big expectations with the hotel, knowing how little effort is put into 5 star service in Germany, but my stay was still below expectations. Housekeeping was by far the worst area, with very little attention to detail just carelessness. On the day I checked in, I even entered my room to find the housekeeper sat on the chair speaking on her phone in a foreign language in speaker mode. The front desk and restaurants were also all over the place, with some excellent people and some indifferent ones. I complained twice about a non functional lamp on my room, to which I never received any follow up. The breakfast selection left a lot to be desired, and I just did not like the set up of the room. The amenities felt cheap as well. I would not recommend this property.

Great downtown location

Hotel is newer and sleek. Booked a Prestige Suite which was terrific and large. Great view of the adjacent park, beautiful furnishings, spacious bath with great shower. Didn’t know the mini-bar items were free until we checked out. Location is great—across from the beautiful Opera House, it’s in a quiet pocket of downtown, across from a park. About a 20-minute walk to the river—fun to do a river cruise to see the city from the water. Very unhappy with reception. Check-in was a pain as after standing in line for at least 15 minutes, someone walks out of the elevator, cuts in front of us and goes directly to the agent who just became available—extremely frustrating for a hotel of this caliber, and unacceptable as the agent did nothing and knew we were next in line. Check-out was similar. No express checkout was available on the tv and seemed too long for the person to call up our reservation for us to check out. After waiting too long, asked for the invoice to be emailed (and confirmed my email), which was never sent. The hotel restaurant was closed, and no lounge was available either. We had an outstanding dinner at Villa Merton, about an 8-minute cab ride away.

Na recepção a pessoa que me atendeu não entendia o que era ser "diamond". Não ofereceu o Wellcome drink. Tive que pedir. Mas, no mais, tudo bem.
