I stayed at Ibis Styles Chiang Mai after arriving on a late night flight from Bangkok, and it was honestly such a lovely experience. I was traveling solo but felt right at home the moment I arrived. The two receptionists working that night welcomed me with warm smiles and made the check-in quick and easy. I wish I remembered their names because they were both so kind and helpful. My room was super clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a great stay. I liked that all the hotel information was already set up inside the room, which made things really convenient. The whole vibe of the hotel felt relaxed and friendly, perfect for someone traveling alone. One of my favorite parts was the breakfast at Pixel. The food was fresh and tasty with a great variety, and I especially loved the Northern Thai food station. It was such a thoughtful and local touch that made the morning feel extra special. Big thank you to Khun Dream and Khun Joy for looking after me so well during my stay. They were both really sweet and made everything feel smooth and easy. I had such a comfortable and enjoyable time here, and I’m definitely planning to come back on my next trip to Chiang Mai. I truly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a place that’s friendly, cozy, and full of good vibes.

I recently returned to ibis Styles Chiang Mai after some time away and was very pleased with my stay. I booked a 3-day, 2-night trip without any discount code, and the total cost was THB 1,754 — roughly THB 85x per room per night, which is great value. As an Accor Platinum member, I had initially reserved standard rooms, but the hotel kindly upgraded all three rooms to superior rooms in Building 2. The upgrade also included breakfast for all rooms, which was much appreciated. Each room came with a small welcome set that included local treats like candy, crispy rice snacks, and chewy caramel — a thoughtful and charming touch. Welcome drinks could be redeemed at the hotel’s jazz bar, Mellow Ship, located right in front of the property. Live music in the evenings added a nice vibe, and Accor Plus discounts were applicable at the bar, which made it even better. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of choices and was well presented. Staff throughout the stay were friendly, courteous, and helpful. They explained the benefits clearly and granted a late check-out upon request with no hassle. Food at Mellow Ship was served quickly and came in large portions — definitely satisfying. For those who enjoy early mornings, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Chiang Mai University area, where you can experience daily almsgiving before 7 AM or go for a jog around the campus. Water pressure in the bathroom was strong and hot water was consistent, which made for a comfortable shower experience. That said, the rooms are beginning to show some signs of wear and tear, and those located near the main road may experience noticeable traffic noise. However, considering the price — which is on par with budget hotels — I found the stay to be excellent value overall. Highly recommended for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and solid service at an affordable rate.

밤 12시쯤 체크인 완료하였고 방에 들어 갔는데 화장대(?) 위에는 누군가 마시던 물병이 남아 있었고 곳곳에 작은 쓰레기들이 남아 있었습니다 바닥은 청소를 하지 않은 듯 신발 자국이 남아 있었습니다 방에 유일하게 하나 있는 창문은 실외기로 막혀 있었지만 문제는 새들이 둥지를 짓고 살고 있었으며 그냥 방치해서 그 상태는... 비행기 소리가 들리고 방음이 잘 되지 않아도 이해합니다. 하지만 기본적인 청소조차 제대로 이루어지지 않는 것은 너무나도 실망입니다.

Worst Ibis Hotel Ever.

Unacceptable! Arrived at the hotel at 3.30 PM, expecting a smooth check-in, but the room wasn’t even ready. We were forced to wait over 10 minutes—absolutely ridiculous! Then, as if things couldn’t get any worse, the key card didn’t work in the elevator because the staff forgot to register it. She even asked me if I pressed the right floor !? And when they finally fixed it, not a single word of apology—just pure carelessness! To top it all off, the AC and Ref were so unbearably noisy that it was impossible to sleep all night. This level of incompetence and disregard for guests is beyond frustrating—it’s infuriating!

Excellent short stay here. We are city hopping through Thailand and had 3 very comfortable nights here at the Ibis Styles chiang mai. Warmly welcomed by the staff, they were all super friendly, efficient and helpful. It's slightly further out of town nearer the university but this was what we wanted for the Old Town has become a bit touristy for us unfortunately, a victim of its own success. We were in great walking distance of Amazing bars and restaurants, temples, the city gates, the reservoir and some stunning scenery. The beds are soft and comfortable, the showers are excellent pressure and the breakfast is stunning. Huge choice of Thai and western food and plentiful fruit. The infinity pool is a treat and the mountain view backdrop is stunning. Wouldn't hesitate in returning and staying. Highly recommend!
