As Accor Gold member (soon Platinum) in an half empty hotel no upgrade, no water in room, no cups, no coffee. Unfriendly staff at reception. Shirt 12 CHF but not folded as requested (dry cleaning). Internet partially not working. Room not properly cleaned after first night and only 1 towel provided. Was 2nd time in this hotel. Disappointed for price. Very basic. Was two nights here just to sleep short nights for conference.

Comfortable, basic hotel in a good location

We chose this hotel because we were visiting family who live nearby and stayed two nights on two subsequent weekends. The welcome from reception was good on both occasions. Before arriving we were sent an email which meant we could download Geneva travel passes (pdfs) prior to arriving. This means you can travel for free from the airport (no 5 bus to Vidollet) and use the buses and trams during your stay. The location is the main reason for choosing this hotel. It's sufficiently near the centre to actually walk there if you want. Trams no 14 and 18 run down nearby Rue de la Servette and connect with Gare Cornavin and Bel-Air. The room itself was clean and basically furnished on both occasions - we were on the 7th and 8th floors and it was quiet. The bed is comfortable. The shower is a decent size, although the shower room itself is a little tight. We thought providing only one bath towel each a little stingy. On our final morning we had the buffet breakfast in the hotel. This was a real disappointment. The quality of the food was mostly OK, except that the hot food was cold. However, plates, cutlery and so on were in short supply and many food items were running out. Our experience compared very unfavourably with the buffet at the Ibis Styles in Bern.

Lovely short stay, the rooms were cosy and the beds were comfortable, the receptionist checking in was nice and friendly, felt a bit sorry for her because she was dealing with a rude asian customer who didn't speak french and came across aggressive and frustrated, when i arrived. Really enjoyed walking around the area, it was a lovely sunny day, a bit chilly but definitely got some great memories here.

Very good hotel for the price

We stayed at the IBIS for 4 nights and paid £370 which I thought was good value we had to pay taxes on top of that which was another 30 Swiss francs on arrival. The hotel is a little way out its about a 15 min walk to the train station but it a 5 min walk to the tram stop and you can get that across to old town so it is a really accessible hotel for a good price. The hotel its self was great the room was clean and spacious and the check in was good we didn’t eat here but we did sit in the bar at night and play cards all the staff were very welcoming I think for the price we paid I would book again the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the fact we asked for clean towels and didn’t get them and we asked for an extra pillow but were told no spare pillows could be found

The perfect central location in Geneva

A perfect city centre hotel - not far from the main station or other public transport options. It's a lovely 25 minute walk down to the promenade for great views over the lake. The hotel staff were kind enough to led us an adaptor when we realised ours was broken, and even gave us mugs of hot water when requested for tea/cup a soup. To note: the hotel rooms do not provide a kettle or tea-making facilities!
