Good but some gaps in service provision

The location of this hotel is excellent, with numerous restaurants very close by as well as the British Museum. Transport links are also excellent. Our room was small but comfortable with a view onto a brick wall. The beds were soft but we slept very well. In the bathroom there was a notice saying that for reasons of safety we should always use a mat when standing in the bath, but there was no mat. Another sign warned us that the towel rail was hot, but it was cold all the time. The central heating didn't seem to be switched on, so we used the reverse cycle air conditioning to warm the bedroom, but the bathroom stayed cold. The TV invites you to cast from your own device by connecting to the same network. I tried and failed to do this several times. When I went down to reception to ask for help, they told me this facility had never been set up.

Very small rooms, not worth a Mercury hotel

Very small bed and riom, the upgrade for gold status was not given. Shower was bad with curtain. Only tv only some english channels, not international. No electrical connections near bed. Not worth the Mercury bame or price

Great little spot

A central London hotel that won't burst the bank. Rooms are small and functional, but clean (although I didn't like thevtiny awkward shower space) - bar is ok, and I skipped breakfast as I was om business and needed to get going. But the area around the hotel is busy and energetic. Plenty of choices for dining. Staff were nice, like I say pretty functional place but in a great location. Would stay again.

Tiny rooms, better options elsewhere in London

Tiny tiny room with small bed. No refrigerator in the room so nowhere to store medication that requires refrigeration ( leaving it between the blind and window was a poor alternative). Blinds do not block out light so if near the pub or external fire escape be prepared to have security lights illuminating the room. .Noisy pub outside the window so if you don’t want the entertainment ask for a room on the other side of the building. Only positive it was clean and close to Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. With current construction though the roads around the Mercure are a nightmare and cabs are reticent to service Euston station. Only one bath towel between two of us. No response to phone call to try and source a second one. Would not recommend this accommodation, lots of room for improvement.
