It is located next to Paddington Station, so it will be very convenient for train travel. There is a very small and cute mini bar in the room, so I was satisfied that you could enjoy still water and cola for free. There are many different restaurants from all over the world, so you have a lot of choices.

Poor security

Although the hotel was a bit dated it was clean and tidy our score for the hotel is directed towards the management of the hotel, on returning from our last days excursion we found both our room keys did not work so we went to the reception to get the keys recoded, when we entered the room we found that a substantial amount of money from our room was missing, we reported this to management and they said they would investigate and send a report to us on their findings etc. After only one email communications had stopped with the manager not responding to our emails, no report or exploration on how our room was illegally entered and robbed. It has now been some 15 days since we left England to continue on our holiday with no reply from the hotel. A police report was lodged with the English police but as yet we have heard nothing from them either. This is a common occurrence of being robbed on the last day according to google search and had happened at this hotel before by a cleaning contractor employee. It’s not the money we except that its the total silence from the hotel ignoring our complaints. I will now await the considering reply on here stating the hold the security of our clients at the upmost regard.

Excellent service and friendly staff, was a bit early for check-in so they stored my luggage in the meantime without any hassle. The doormen always greeted with a smile and the reception staff was also friendly. Received a free room upgrade and the free drinks and snacks in the room are a nice touch. Location is perfect, only a few steps away from Paddington station. Plenty of choices for breakfast. The rooms are a bit noisy. When someone in the same hallway shuts their door, you can hear it. You can also hear some trains, which might be an issue for light sleepers. The shower could use an upgrade or deep scrub, with mould starting to form on the shower doors. The rest of the room/bathroom was clean.

The rooms do not look like the picture at right. I reserved the "Cozy Double" I have been in jail cells with more room. For one person maybe , not two. One side of the bed was against the wall. When I nicely asked to be moved, the evening team said they would put a note in for the morning team to move us after check outs. Nope. We checked out and went to the Hilton on Hyde park. Much nicer same price

There are good things and bad things, but unfortunately the bad things mean that I won't be staying here again. And thats a shame. Mainly as the bed and the pillows where great and really comfy. However... the soundproofing from Praed Street was terrible and you could hear pretty much everything. Also the curtains did not seal against the wall meaning that at about 4am the room was very very light which made it hard to sleep. Also I did not see anywhere it worn you that you can hear what I assume to be the Hammersmith and City line constantly rolling by. And then the nail in the coffin was that there was no TV remote in the room when I checking in. I did ring down and the guy behind the desk advised that he would get house keeping to bring one, but I then needed to ring back half an hour later as no one had bothered to come with one, and when they did a good number of the buttons on the remote did not actually work. Overall, for the cost of this hotel, its not worth the money.
