Clean, comfy, good location but very Budget, ideal for one night as a solo traveller

This is a VERY basic hotel, the location was great, short walk from the tube station. My room was spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfy. I was only staying for one night, so the fact the shower cubicle was in the room didn’t bother me. There are no hairdryers which I knew in advance so brought my own. As stated in reviews there is no kettle though can get hot drinks from downstairs, the only issue was I was on the 6th floor and tbh too much of a chore to keep going up and down if I wanted to relax with with a brew. The room is boxy and soulless, I felt I couldn’t spend much time in there. The plugs in the room are in a rubbish place, near the window, I’m not bothered about that to charge my phone, but there were none near the mirrors which was a bit of an issue trying to dry my hair, so if you need to dry and style it either take your own hairdryer or a small mirror to use beside where the plugs are. The shower was perfectly fine no complaints there. There is no bar area in the hotel, there is a vending machine but if you wanted to sit there and get a drink and have a change of scenery from your room you will be disappointed. The area is predominantly Asian, if you’re expecting nightlife you will be disappointed. Fortunately I didn’t go there for that, there was a pub a couple of streets away which played good music and was lively so went there so I wasn’t stuck in a box haha. Basic is what basic gets and this is NO FRILLS. Based on the fact it was extremely clean, and I had a good nights sleep if I was in the area again for 1 night I would stay again, but for any more than that or I was staying with someone (I was on my own) I wouldn’t choose to stay there. Pros - good location, extremely clean, staff were pleasant and polite, check in and check out was effortless, comfy bed (may be a little firm for some people but suited me) Cons - rooms feel “boxy”, plug sockets in inconvenient places, no kettle, breakfast was mediocre, no bar facilities or an area to be sociable Stayed in much worse hotels, I’ve stayed in better but it is extremely BUDGET as long as people understand that.

For £170 for one night I was shocked just how budget it was. I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels that way out did this one! On arrival staff were not welcoming, in fact I felt like an inconvenience. Room… two small beds squashed together both uncomfortable. One pillow also uncomfortable! Window could not be opened and the air conditioning unit was noisy so had to switch it off. Kettle but no cups, expected to pay more for hospitality tray! Shower OK but no mat to step out on to! On a positive it was close to two tube lines!! Have stayed in other Ibis hotels which were better, but after this experience I will not be using them again!

Just as shown on the website: Central located 2star Hotel. Close to metro stations. Safe area. Friendly and helpful staff. I asked for extra pillows and got it immediately. Clean public area and room. Breakfast is quite okay. I missed eggs and veggies but many to choose from. Tip: choose the nest room we did. Higher floors and nice view to the skyscrapers. Ask for hairdryer in time as not in the room but they provide. NO fridge and wardrobe but not promised so it's okay. Prepare that the window in the room can't be opened. Air conditioning worked well. WiFi speed super and available in any area if the building. So altogether RECOMMENDED place and we will choose again.

Every receptionists that were on shift was no help at all, always keep saying they can't do anything and told me to check with them the next day. Whitechapel was also not that good of an area and I felt unsafe even in board daylight, not recommended if you are travelling single. The only good part is that they have a share space with a microwave that saved money a lot. But during some days the receptionists hide the plates and cutlery because of some bad guests, lucky I brought my own.

Standard budget hotel, nice and clean🫧

If I’m being honest I didn’t have high expectations as it is a budget hotel and I only spent £30 for the night. But on arrival I was quite impressed!🥰Clean room with clean towels and soap, comfy beds. Couldn’t have asked for anything more for a one night stay!
