Very well located to a myriad of restaurants and shopping, close to the Geongbokgung Palace (be there at 10am for changing of the guard) but busy with tour groups. Be warned the aircon is centrally controlled ie turned off during the day, and so your room can get uncomfortably hot during the day. At night it's set at 24.5c, so with a fairly substantial doona (Winter weight when it's 34c or so outside) it's extremely uncomfortable. Given the doonas are heavy, it mystifies me why the aircon is not active, especially at night. It's certainly a 3 star, clean, comfortable enough, but dated and basic. The buffet breakfast is the same every day with the only fresh fruit being pieces of banana. Used by bus loads of tour groups, so be prepared for intermittent

While we do have established guidelines for operating the air conditioning, we strive to accommodate our guests' feedback by adjusting the operation as much as possible. We appreciate your understanding. And we regret that you did not notice the variety in our breakfast offerings. Although we do not change the entire menu daily, we do vary some items to avoid monotony. In any case, we value each and every guest's feedback. Had a lovely stay at Ibis Ambassador Hotel. The location was great, with lots of interesting cafes and restaurants and nearby. The staff was also very kind, especially Harry, the receptionist, who was very warm and helpful. He made us feel very welcomed from the beginning. Thanks Harry for making my stay a pleasant one!

Really bad hotel - would not recommend

The rooms were very basic. They weren’t very pleasant and the carpet/overall look of the room wasn’t nice. The bathroom was small and squished. The WiFi in the room was useless. I could hardly use it at all. Considering it was $150 for a night - it was over priced.
