Awful.

Awful. The lobby was very loud with music when I checked in. Quite dark as well. The host pointed towards the back of the building and said the lifts were ‘that way’. As I looked there was a restaurant looking part, a bar and a not very well signposted way towards the lifts. I got into my room and instantly thought it was something out of the 90’s. There are no proper curtains. Just sheets that you pull across in 3 parts. There’s a sofa/seat thing that has questionable stains on it. The bathroom is not built in. It’s a modular piece of furniture that makes you feel like you are in a caravan. Smells like you are in a caravan too. Only one of the lights works. You need to step up into the bathroom. And it’s just cramped. Sitting on the toilet is cramped against the countertop. Throughout the night I could hear other people flushing their toilet. At a random point I could hear running water as if the toilet cistern was filling back up and I could smell dirty water. Bear in mind that I was in bed. Then when I finally get to sleep I am woken up at 8am by work being carried out in the room above me. I went down for breakfast and one of the workers was in the lift which just confirmed this assumption. Breakfast was cramped and chaotic. Workers weren’t sure what they were doing and the guy at the front greeting you was trying to do 5 things at once. He found me a table, cleared it, said he’d clean it, got the cloth and then someone asked him to do something else so my table never got wiped. Some people were being seated and some were seating themselves. Just carnage. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Not even for a one night business stay

Hotel is situated next to the Southwark Metro which makes it very convenient for commute. It is also walking distance to the Waterloo metro as well as many popular spots like Tate Modern making it a good spot to stay. Check in was swift. Having booked online via the Accor app makes it very easy. Got the complementary drinks being a Gold Member however no other benefits with it. Rooms were very basic. Beds and pillows comfortable enough with only 1 draw back being the lack of electricity points for charging. The hotel is slightly dated hence the older furnishing and lack of room amenities. Nevertheless it is still value for money. Shoutout to the front desk guy with glasses in the morning during our checkout which was extremely helpful especially in assisting us with the taxi to St Pancreas.

Positive: Hotel is close to Southwark station, about two minute walk, as is a Tesco express for any essentials. Breakfast was ok, everything you could expect. Negatives: The cleanliness of this hotel was poor, the wooden flooring was so dusty you had to brush off your feet before getting into bed. The drains were noisy all the time as best, but at times really gurgling, to the point where they woke me up a couple of times. I had paid for late check out after running a half marathon but been locked out of my room when I returned, resulting in an unnecessary trip back to reception to resolve. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Very basic hotel, there are better offers nearby.

Clean, minimalist, central and offering all the necessary amenities, such as ironing board, tea & coffee, kettle etc. Our room was very spacious and also kid - friendly (low sink and viewing hole in the door especially for kids). Would definitely stay here again in the future.

NOXCO Couples - Ulasan TripAdvisor tersertifikasi

Starting with good. Close to town. Bad: Small claustrophobic rooms. Booking clearly displayed bathtub in bathroom, we instead had a boat style plastic shower enclosure. Bedsheets were not changed over our three night stay. Coffee and biscuits were not replenished after first night. Costs the same as some 4 star hotels nearby. No point booking this if you are and a leisure trip for a nice weekend away. Never again.
