Restaurant - Bad experience

We visited the Novotel Restaurant and ordered a chicken dish, but we were disappointed to find that the chicken portion was only the size of two nuggets. This felt ridiculous and certainly not worth our hard-earned money. I believe the menu should include the weight in grams for each meal; currently, only the beef dish has this information, which is unfair to those who cannot eat beef. Additionally, we were only offered a 25% discount with our Accor membership instead of the expected 50%. Overall, I feel that the Accor membership is not worth it.

One of the better hotels we have stayed in! The rooms were a really generous size. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and generally book rooms with 2 queen/double beds, and you don’t get a lot of room to move around normally. These rooms were quite big and so much nicer to be in. The hallways were really spacious with cute little lounge areas near the lifts while you are waiting for the rest of your group. There was absolutely no noise from other rooms or outside, we honestly didn’t hear a thing. Given we were there for 2 nights for a sporting competition not far away, the fact we all had decent sleeps was really important. The beds were really comfortable, and the bathrooms were quite big. We also got a couple of bottles of complimentary water and soft drink and they replenished it the next morning. We had 2 rooms next to each other so we called and asked for the interconnecting door to be unlocked and it was done within 10 minutes. The club is right next door so easy to access food options. Parking – there is not a huge amount of undercover parking for the hotel but there is plenty of outside spaces or the undercover parking at the club, although I am not sure if you have to pay for that – surprisingly the hotel parking did not cost extra. We definitely would stay here again and cannot fault the accommodation or service, it was fantastic.

Before our arrival at the hotel I called and amended one of the rooms as I realised it had been booked incorrectly by the agent as a double room but as it was for my stepson and carer they needed two beds. I was informed this had been done but when we checked in we discovered it hadn’t been done. This caused unnecessary stress and delay at check in but luckily it was rectified by the check in staff. The location of this hotel was very convenient to visit the zoo at eastern creek which it well worth a visit. There is lots to do in the evening without needing a car as it is next to a leisure complex with a casino , plenty of eateries and also bowling. Also you can use the sports facilities which has a very large pool unfortunately it was closed on the bank holiday and when we did try to use it the next day there were swimming lessons going on so check in advance if you wish to use the facilities to avoid disappointment. We had room service breakfast to make it easier for us and this was delivered on time and was very tasty. All in all a good hotel and our subsequent stay made up for the chaotic arrival.

We parked our hired car in the free hotel car park. The vehicle was vandalised. Hotel staff directed me to the premises next door as they said that they are not in charge of the car park. For the cost of this hotel I would get a hotel with secure parking next time.

El hotel se anuncia como Novotel de la cadena accord. Pero al registrarnos se negaron a cargar nuestro numero de programa de viajero frecuente. La pileta corresponde a un gimnasio que esta a una cuadra que estaba cerrado. Al momento de contratar la habitacion no se advertia el periodo de falta de servicio. Si bien se anuncia cono cercano a la estacion... esta entre dos estaciones y ninguna a "walking distance". Servicio de comida a la habitacion muy completo y rapido. Con opciones de menu de niño. El servicio de limpieza no cambio las sabanas en 4 noches que estuvimos alojados. Ni aspiraron las alfombras ni limpiaron adecuadamente los baños.solo armaban la cama. Ni se llevaban los vasos del servicio al cuarto. No fue lo que esperabamos.
