First & foremost is the great staff at this hotel. Anson is amazing and she is very in tune with your needs and preferences. She always greets me when she sees me, which displays her great level of service. She's incredibly helpful. Tony does the night shift- what a great guy. Service with a smile. Thanks also to Amy with whom I also dealt with. Great service. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area of the city. Close to transport, shops and restaurants. I got a corner room and love love love it! Nice and bright and provides an enhanced view of the city. The window sills provide good shelving to store small items. The housekeeping staff is friendly and accommodating! Rooms are basic, clean, and refreshing. Thanks to the hospitable team at Ibis Hong Kong Central & Sheung Wan. I had a great stay and look forward to my next stay.

Forgot how to Treat Non-Staycation Guests

If it wasn't for the previous service and the location of the hotel, I doubt I would have kept booking this hotel. The elevators are old , the TV doesn't have a HDMI jack, the room refrigerator is super small, the room doesn't have drawers and other things to help you store your clothes.... However I have been staying here for my yearly Q2/Q4 Asia Business Trips since 2015, didn't mind back then as the rates were great and the service was superb. After Hong Kong opened it's borders to non-residents, I was ecstatic to return to Hong Kong and book ibis again. However, I found that their quality of service greatly diminished. No guaranteed upgrades for loyalty members (I used to stay 50+ days a year with them, so you can guess what level loyalty I am), didn't even follow a simple request for extra hangers (because there's no drawers to store your work clothes) and to my surprise treated me like a Staycation Guest that was paying a lot less. I booked using their official website and paid normal rates but gave me the Staycation package where there's only house keeping twice a week and placed me in a hall filled with these noisy Staycation guests. I know Staycations were essential to keep your business afloat during the pandemic and when Hong Kong kept their borders closed, but don't stay in that mode if you expect to keep real guests. Frankly, there's a few newer hotels around the block, I'm definitely considering moving to the newer one literally down the block.

For the elevators and in-room facilities, please rest assured that the elevators will be checked regularly by our Engineering to ensure the elevators are in the best condition. Meanwhile the room is designed to make the best use of functionality and practicality of the room to create spaciousness and homey experiences for our guests, we have passed on your comments for review in the future. If you need to connect the TV through HDMI the next time, please feel free to contact us for assistance. We apologize the room assignment fell short of your expectations. Our team always try our best to accommodate room requests for room type like bedding, floor level, etc. upon availability. May I recommend you to join our membership program as room upgrade which is subject to availability is part of the benefits of Accor ALL Live Limitless members of Gold tier or above. Regarding the housekeeping service, the Executive Housekeeper has been informed about the situation that you encountered. She will review with the team and will make great efforts to not let this happen again. Besides, during the pandemic situation, special housekeeping service is arranged however if you need additional housekeeping service, please do not hesitate to contact us. You have mentioned the soundproofing of the room and our team has been aware of your comment. If the neighbouring guests are too loud, please feel free to ask the Front Office for assistance and we are happy to assist you to have a room change. Sorry again for what you have experienced and it is believed the occasional circumstance did not reflect our usual practice. While we welcome all guests from all over the world, our team members will continue to provide a level of service that meets guests’ expectations and we look forward to having you back soon. Long time no come to stay at Ibis Sheung wan and come to checkin late night Warm welcome from Anson at the reception and room was upgraded to the nice sea view room. Thank you 😁👍 This time breakfast change to buffet style at the restaurant but no time to try yet. Will come back and try next time.
