Nice hotel but could have stayed near old quarters

We came in with family 2 adult 3 kids and took family room. all were good for the 5days, we could have taken family room for quarter of the price paying for pullman family room at Old Quarter but again we needed the hotel services, all attraction are just 5 to 10minuted by Grab or taxi and its cheap (hardly got my wallet empty), some minor setback in the bathroom where water trap stuck. room light could have been brighter. We had Vip lounge access therefore kind of lunch and dinner covered by taking late breakfast and utilizing vip lounge tea time 530pm to 730pm for dinner. others street snack reasonable price. Special thanks to Ms.Huong whom attended my family at the vip lounge, hotel managememt should have more of these type of people. but one of her colleague on my last day messed up my mood by warning us not take anything from the lounge, later she came with the duty manage asking for apology(these are just people with attitude, she was worried that l would bring coke can and sell in the vietnam streets, thats how i felt bad). but lucky it was my last day. the thing is that that i dont understand, when i take a can of coke break it open in the lounge and then took out to the tennis court she stopped me as if lm stealing it. a bit childish i would say to stop a guess from taking open can drink would be slap silly. l would not want to mention her name so called l'm protecting her rice bowl. but last day we meet Ms Houng again and she made our day with noworries. thanks laundry you can get hanoi laundry service just google and whatsapp they provide really good service. if you coming from Noi international airport, try taking grab cost would be quarter price of the hotel taxi. Room was good, breakfast could improve with more varieties for those who dont consume pork and beef. Tennis court and gym was good, swimming pool too deep 1.8m

We enjoyed our stay, and in particular “ Jerry” in the lobby gave us exceptional service and care we felt very looked after , he was always smiling and making sure we were ok and getting to our rides safely and secure with great recommendation’s restaurants and place to visit inside and outside hotel We will miss you Jerry 🫶🫶🫶🫶

I had a night here after returning from Sapa. We had a late arrival. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the executive lounge where Ms Huong took care of us well. The executive lounge was rather small but functional. The evening cocktail spread was very acceptable for me. The staff were attentive and extended the hours a little longer. We were flabbergasted to have been upgraded to a full suite even though we had booked the lowest category. I felt the suite was huge with lovely welcome amenities. Evening turn down service was offered. However, the room, the lounge are showing numerous signs of wear and tear. Yet, all staff were attentive and extremely friendly. At breakfast, Ms Ngoan, the captain at Le Chinne took great care of us. She made us feel very welcome and making sure our breakfast experience was perfect. The spread was huge. Mr Chris Son, the operation manager even took time to have a small chat at our table. Before leaving the hotel, I requested a coffee for take away and i got it for free from Ms.Ngoan. A special mention to Ms Huong who went beyond her beck and call sending me a loal vietnamese coffee with some sparkling water to my room as she didn't see me returning to the lounge. Such an gesture was beyond words. Thank you, Pullman Hanoi. You are showing your age but I would still return to see you one day.

I met a very nice manager from the Mint Bar on Saturday evening (18th May), just unfortunately I didn't remember his name. Anyway he made my family and I were so happy to spend our time in Pullman for dinner. He welcomed us so nicely, professional and provided all the requests from us. Overall Im so satisfied with the experience of the service here, thank u guys!

Very rude and racist staff.They lie about things.When we checked I showed them the booking voucher which was having free one room upgrade included.Some staff called Nga said we cant give you upgrade as room is not available on telling her that nothing like that is mentioned on the voucher that upgrade only if available.On this she immedietely upgraded the room.Then how come it became available in a minute? Secondly,she took a deposit of 6 million dongs quoting it is compulsory to give deposit.We said that its bot mentioned anywhere in hotel policy.Then also she took it.Next day we saw 2 people checking in and they didnt take any deposit from them and we overheard the conversation.While checking out we told them you are not taking from everybody so they started saying if guest says no we dont take its the guests decision.But even I had said no then also Nga told me you have to give.It was very insulting.We stayed in other 5 star hotels in Vietnam the staff was so warm and welcoming everywhere.This people are racist.We ll never stay in Pullman hotels again

Dear Mr and Mrs Gandhi. First and foremost, please allow me to offer you our unreserved apologies for having failed to meet with your expectations. Please rest assured that we have immediately carefully investigated each of the shortcomings you pointed out and taken action to prevent them from happening again. At Pullman Hanoi we pride ourselves in taking care of a very international clientele from all over the world. Please be assured that any kind of racism would not be tolerated in this hotel. I believe what led to your perception of the situation in question was the fact that you had been asked to provide a deposit on arrival, whilst you observed other arriving guests not being asked to provide one. Our policy to request deposits has absolutely nothing to do with nationality and is purely based on the kind of guarantee we require for EVERY guest staying with us. For most guests we have a credit card on file or perhaps instructions from their company to settle their full invoice, in which case we do not ask for further securities. This policy is in line with most international hotels worldwide and not unusual. With regard to overcharging for water: we do provide 4 complimentary bottles of water per day. Additional bottles are charged at VND40,000, which is about $1.50. Surely this cannot be considered excessive. Once again, apologies for the disappointment caused by this misunderstanding. I do hope it will not deter you from staying with us or one of our sister hotels in the future again. Should you have an opportunity to return to Hanoi, please do contact me directly so that I can make sure you will be especially well looked after and to proof that we can indeed do better.
