From the moment you walk into this lovely hotel you feel at ease and well looked after. The plentiful staff are among the most helpful I've ever encountered. As an example, we had a real problem with check in for our next destination and it was sorted out calmly and proficiently. We had a deluxe room rather than a suite but it was large enough for our luggage to be stowed away. Not much of a view but who sits around looking out of the window when there is so much to do in Hanoi. The bed was king sized and comfortable. My one criticism was that, having a bit of a mobility problem, i would have welcomed a walk in shower rather than one over the bath. We ate at angelina's and the bamboo bar, both great places to relax at the end of a hot day sightseeing. The food was excellent and there was a good choice of dishes, both Vietnamese and western. The Legend really is the grande dame of Hanoi hotels.

This 100 year hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the old quarters. The staff and service is very polite and hospitable. The breakfast is served in the restaurant in the garden which is very beautiful. They provided us dishes which were not in the buffet as we were vegetarians. Van Anh,assistant manger of the restaurant was very accommodating and even packed a sandwich for our journey ahead. Thank you so much for the lovely stay

The Metropole was the first hotel we stayed in on a recent trip to Southeast Asia. So impressive. Everything from our room, to the service, to the location were great. I want to especially praise Hien at the Concierge desk. Every time we had a question, or an issue, she provided the perfect solution.

The hotel is in the center, so it's super easy to access good street food area or enjoy the lake view which is quite beautiful and noisy. The service is totally amazing, staffs are nice and supportive.
