Not 5 star - chaotic and tired

Chaotic and definitely not 5 star. We couldn’t get into our preferred hotels as for some reason they were all booked months out so we thought Pullman would be the next best choice. From the moment we walked in it was disappointing. We were early so left our bags and went shopping having been told our room would be ready and bags taken up later. By 2pm when we returned the bags were still in reception and no-one had any idea we had already checked in. We were upgraded to the 28th floor and just as well as that room was pretty average so our original would have been worse. Tired furniture, really noisy strong aircon even on its lowest setting and very noisy due to some out door concert? Had to wear earplugs on the 28th floor! There was also a strange pillow set up with one normal one and one really small cushion size one, all making for an uncomfortable night and poor sleep. We went to the pool hoping to relax for a couple of hours but over half of the pool chairs were broken. Even a couch in reception where we sat was broken as the seats went right through. Thankfully we were only here one night - not up to Accor standard. However the driver for our transfer to the airport was lovely.

Manager Mr. Phu and the team (Ms. Nhi, Bartender Han, Huy, also Mr.Minh, Ms. Vy), were so nice as well as supportive. I enjoyed a lot when having a cocktail in the rooftop. The drink was fantastic, highly recommend to try Clover Club. I could not ask for more, romantic atmosphere, excellent service and drink.

Pullman - Excellent Hotel

Pullman hotel is an excellent option to stay. Its food is delicious, the service is very friendly and helpful. Trung gave us superb service at the restaurant. Wide variety during breakfast for vegetarians and vegans. Centrally located so near to city centre. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need.

Very expensive for Vietnam. Great brunch though.

A standard 5* hotel. Good location, nice rooms. The reason for 3* was the price. By far the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Vietnam and I just couldn’t see the value for money. In their cafe this morning we paid nearly $30AU for two coffees, two croissant and a large bottle of water. Melbourne prices. There is one thing they did very well. Sunday bottomless brunch in their Mad Cow restaurant was amazing. Free flow Tattinger and more (delicious) food than we could eat. All in all, wouldn’t stay there again.

From Regular to Regret: A Disheartening Decline at Pullman Saigon Centre Under Mr Castel

I live in HCMC close to the Pullman Saigon Centre which makes me a “regular” customer for nearly 2 years. Since July, the hotel has been under General Manager Mr Benjamin Castel, and I am more and more disappointed by the drink service and overall customer acknowledgement, especially by the GM. Despite the hotel's upscale reputation, the staff seems indifferent and inattentive, particularly at the rooftop bar. I worked extensively with Accor Group in New Zealand, and the staff training and management are currently way below my understanding of Pullman’s standards and aspirations for excellence. Additionally, there is a noticeable lack of engagement from the staff; they rarely acknowledged guests or offered pro-active assistance, reaching the 1-star level in my experience: I expected a much higher standard of service and attentiveness for a hotel of this calibre. Unfortunately, my experience fell short, making it unlikely that I would return or recommend this hotel to others.
