Getting there from the airport is a hassle to begin with. Taxis are not interested in such a short fare as it is only a couple of kilometres away so you are left to beg a taxi driver or try to a get an Uber or pay a fortune for a private transfer. Are there were 4 of us with luggage, we needed a big vehicle or two vehicles and it was late at night. This hotel advertises they have a shuttle service but in actual fact it only provides a shuttle to the airport in the very early hours of the morning, no other times does it operate and there is no shuttle service at all at any time from the airport to the hotel. A major hotel in an airport locale should at least offer an airport shuttle! We had booked two of the Premier King rooms and by the time we got to hotel around 11pm we were exhausted. We noticed immediately how very hot and humid it was inside the hotel though, like the reception and public areas are not open air and airconditioned at all, it was stifling and we were all sweating profusely waiting for our room keys. Reception assigned two rooms side by side on level 5 however on entering one of the rooms, we noticed it was unbearably hot, there was no working aircon at all, we could not get the rooms electronic air-conditioning selector panel to work. We gave my elderly parents the room with working aircon and my Husband and I went back down to reception to get assistance. We waited down there while they went and checked the room, reset the air-conditioning switch in the main control room etc, nothing worked. We were then told they had no other premier king rooms and could only downgrade us to their last remaining room, a standard room on level 2 but as an apology they would include breakfast for 2 adult family members that were coming to meet us the next morning. Fine, we were absolutely exhausted and we had an early start ahead of us, just wanted some sleep. Get to the new room, the air-conditioning was set to 22 degrees, too hot for sleep so we tried to lower the temperature. The control panel allowed us to select 18 degrees but then would jump straight back up to 22 degrees where it stayed firmly set no matter how many times we tried to lower it, even after waiting 30 mins to see if it would gradually get cooler. I called reception and a lovely man came to our room to confirm that yes, it was not working, he could not get it fixed and our room could not be made cooler. Off he went to "reset" the main switch for this room as well, just in case. My Husband then got a phone call from the night manager saying the reset didn't work and we would just have to put up with it as there were no other rooms. I called back to argue that no, we should not have to just put up with it! We paid nearly $500 for a room category we were not provided and then given a downgraded room which was not acceptable as it also lacked working air-conditioning. The night manager argued that outside heat and humidity has an affect on the air conditioners, making them not work properly but that we had already been compensated with two complimentary buffet breakfasts. I argued the breakfast offer we had been given was because they were unable to deliver the premier room category we booked and paid for due to their broken aircon and because they downgraded us into a basic 2nd room without working air-conditioning either and surely there was justification for further compensation, a refund perhaps as it was now nearly 1am and the issue was not resolved! The night manager spoke to me like I was being unreasonable, no further compensation offer would be entertained, but added she would bring us a pedestal fan. After a god awful night on a cheap and nasty bouncy mattress in a hot room, the next morning, 2 of locally based family members came to meet us for breakfast before we all headed off on our family holiday together. The buffet breakfast the Novotel put out was appalling. Scrambled eggs and bacon trays were empty, had to go searching for staff to ask for these to be tended to. The service area was grotty with no one checking on the food levels or cleanliness the whole time unless guests hunted staff down. The few hot food items that were there were lukewarm and the cold items barely cold. This just topped off a crap stay in the worst way. We paid nearly $500 for the one night. We got 4.5 hours of miserable of sleep and a crap breakfast. The weather affecting your not fit for purpose air-conditioning system is a YOU problem Novotel Brisbane airport and it is appalling that you shifted the issue to be the problem of your paying guests instead.

What you described does not reflect the level of service or comfort we strive to provide. I fully understand how important a smooth arrival and a restful night are, especially when travelling with family and arriving late in the evening. The challenges you encountered with room temperature, air-conditioning functionality, and the shuttle service are deeply regrettable. I also acknowledge your valid concerns around the breakfast service and food quality. It is particularly disappointing to know that the issue with your Premier King room air-conditioning was not resolved in a timely or effective manner, and that the communication from our team fell short of your expectations. While we did attempt to offer an alternative room and additional breakfast as a gesture, I understand that this did not compensate adequately for the room downgrade or the discomfort experienced. I agree—we should have done more in the moment to make this right. I take you feedback very seriously, and I have had discussions directly with my leadership and engineering teams. We are already reviewing our procedures for room inspections, air-conditioning maintenance, and guest recovery. Additionally, we will be re-evaluating our guest transport messaging to ensure it accurately reflects availability and limitations of the service. We truly regret the impact this experience had on your holiday. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Tersia at customer service was a delight to engage with . Made our stay very enjoyable. She interacted with us very well . Nothing was too much trouble . We will stay again next time we travel. The rooms are very quite clean and presentable. All good .

Straight out of the book a standard airport hotel! Nothing more, nothing less! We stayed here one night landing late in Brisbane airport and it fulfilled the purpose. No bar, no restaurant coming late, bf so so but staff was friendly fly and room served its purpose. Medium 3 star hotel max

s' ochtends om 05:00h geland en volgende vlucht 20:45h dezelfde dag. Dit hotel staat dicht bij de internationale luchthaven van Brisbane en is gratis te bereiken door een shuttle bus. Het is een modern hotel en zeer rustig, mooie kamers en een uitstekend bed en goede toiletvoorzieningen. Ik heb dit hotel niet vooraf geboekt en op de bonnefooi bezocht. De kamer was €85,- , ondanks dat ik er dan niet 24 uur in verbleef absoluut de moeite waard. Ik vervolgde uitgerust aan het einde van de dag mijn volgende vlucht

Zeer fris en brandschoon. Geweldige service en goed geprijsd restaurant met eten van uitstekende kwaliteit. De kamer was ruim, mooi ingericht en brandschoon. Zeer rustig, het zwembad was op onze verdieping. Ik rook niet maar anderen wel, moeilijk om een plek te vinden waar ze een sigaret konden roken. Ik zou het hotel aanbevelen, maar vooral als een tussenstop voor een internationale vluchttransfer die 's morgens vroeg vertrekt. Topplek.
