Novotel Lyon Confluence 4성

This hotel is located right of the motorway, which makes it convenient for a stopover. It’s directly connected to a large shopping center with plenty of food and shopping options. City center is about a 10 minutes drive away (would be a 45 minute walk) - so not ideal if you want to see that. The lobby area has a nice quirky vibe with cartoon-style decorations and a very open layout. Reception staff was nice, but a bit clueless when asked for some advice what to do in the city. Rooms are pretty standard for the category and in very good condition. Unfortunately at least the night we started there was a lot of noise in the area almost throughout the night (cars honking and some unidentifiable beeping noises) and the rooms sound insulation is weak, so not suitable for light sleepers. Didn’t try the breakfast

Almost easy access by car if you have GPS or google map. Easy parking, full private parking on a Saturday afternoon arrival. But the hotel is nice, well appointed, good sized room, nice amenities, little fridge, tea-coffee facilities. The bathroom is nice and with Rituals product. Separate WC. Free wifi. A/C. No balcony in room. Breakfast is extra at 18.5 Euros for the buffet and they have a lighter version at 8.5 Euros at the bar. Access to Confluence shopping center is a big plus. Many shops, restaurants and even Cinemas. I can recommend this place and will come back

This hotel is modern and clean and staff are all very friendly. They all speak English which is a huge help too. Rooms are good size and bathrooms are well appointed. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that there is a connection from the lobby area to the mall, and the mall has many food options. The lobby restaurant and bar is also good, decent food selections and friendly service. I will stay here again.

This was a return visit and we stayed for three nights. This hotel does everything it is supposed to do and does it well. Our room was clean and bright and comfortable. Housekeeping was good. Breakfast was a bit better than most hotel offerings. The area is quite quiet at night and the bar area is attractive with access to a terrace overlooking the river. The hotel also has direct access to the adjacent shopping centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price on this occasion was exceptionally good value.
