Shabby and tired

I have to stay here frequently. Whilst the staff are helpful and it is clean, this hotel is in desperate need of a refit. Each room has just two electric sockets either near the bed or a mirror (no good if you want to style your hair). Water temperature in the shower wobbles between scalding and cold depending on use elsewhere in the building. The rooms are shabby and very basic.

Pleasant stay but noisy at night

Lovely and clean. Staff were very approachable and friendly. Shower was wonderful!!! Pillows unfortunately were poor and have no support. Theres no kettle in the room. And I found it quite noisy at night

The staff is very helpful, Hotel is clean. I stayed in the hotel for more than 8 months for work. The staff knew my habits, very polite and respectful. I would recommend this hotel when traveling to Esch Belval.

I stayed at the Ibis Belval for the Capital of Culture event for 10 days. I want to thank the staff at the hotel for being attentive, friendly and polite. This was especially invaluable as Belval is not big on dietary options for people that are dairy and wheat intolerant. The staff ordered different milks and bread for me and there was always enough. I had a lot of issues with food in Belval but Arnaud and the team made sure I had a good breakfast, which is so important when you are there for work. The young man on the night staff even filled up my hot water bottle for me before bed which was such a lovely gesture when I was exhausted after a day of working the event. My only gripe is that I was itchy during the whole stay at Belval and many of the others in my team also said they had red eyes or itchiness, we think maybe it was the detergent used for laundry, the rooms however were impeccably clean and the house keeping team was respectful and friendly. Thanks so much for the hospitality.

Avoid if possible!

Ibis is rated as budget hotel but this one in Esch sur Alzette is budget only for Elon Musk and Bill Gates. Price of £104 with discount is greatly overpriced for what is on offer. You get four walls and a bed for that price, no breakfast, no parking, no facilities (coffee, tea) in a room so would recommend to go there only if you really have to, otherwise avoid it by all means.
