Good location delivering a very good tourist base.

Location, location, location.....and staff! The check in was friendly (Grahaeme?), and all of the reception staff were helpful, patient and a credit. Sitting in the lounge area was comfortable and we had a nice coffee there. The breakfast is continental but plentiful and fresh! Breakfast staff on Monday were friendly too. We had rooms that "faced" the carpark which meant that although we were harbourside the rooms were quiet, which was brilliant for us. Reception also pointed us in the right direction of food for my very Brit dad (LOL). A nice tourist hotel, I would stay here again and I would recommend it as it was perfect for our few days visiting this area of Normandy.

We selected this hotel over another primarily because of the positive comments from other travellers, and were not disappointed. The hotel staff were all excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. We found the hotel and bedroom to be clean and tidy Excellent breakfast, with both hot and cold food provided. We also opted for a room that had a balcony as this had great views over the port. The hotel is located only a short walk from the many restaurants. The hotel also offers snacks and pizzas should people wish these. There is also a bar. Excellent location is you are planning to visit the D Day beaches. There is also a memorial to Capt Cousins a short walk up the zigzag path behind the hotel that is well worth a visit.

We visited this hotel as part of a Brittany Ferries package. Our room was very comfortable the hotel clean and modern and all the staff friendly and helpful. Without the Brittany Ferries promotion, we would not have found this place and would have missed out on a really enjoyable few days. The hotel breakfast is plentiful and Port en Bessin a charming small working fishing port, with plenty of places to eat. I don’t understand the negative comments about the hotel car park, it is clearly signposted, with easy access to the hotel - I consider it an asset to the hotel. We plan to return!
