Convenient and comfortable

We had to crash in the airport area for the night, and Novotel looked like the perfect pick. Getting there, though, was a bit of a challenge - maybe rethink the public bus if you’re headed to this hotel. We somehow squeezed onto a bus, but plenty of people stayed on the platform. It was a short ride, and we were there in no time. Check-in was quick and efficient, but there were no smiles to speak of. The bar later that evening felt the same - efficient, but a little soulless. The room was pretty standard for the chain: comfy and nicely kept. All in all, a decent experience, though a bit lifeless. The only genuinely kind staffer was a slightly older gentleman at reception; the rest seemed to have a different take on hospitality, at least from my impression.

Close to airport and bus stop, functional, could be warmer

The hotel is next to the bus stop on bus 635. From Munich city I got down by S bahn at besucherpark stop which has the 635 stop right next to it and took 635 and whistle going to the airport, the bus is a stop away from the airport. The room was clean with good Wi-Fi. There was no electric kettle. The coffee maker could have been cleaner. It had residual coffee and dust inside. The dry and wet bathrooms were separate. The room was cold and I could not find any temperature control inside. The check out was smooth.

We have stayed at the Airport Novotel a few times and always had a good experience, until our last stay. We were flying from Munich for a week away and chose to stay at the hotel the nights before and after our flights. Check in on the night before was quick and professional and we had a good experience in our comfortable twin bedded room. On return we stood ages at reception while the young man dealt with a guest and then when it was our turn scrolled and scrolled on his computer for a few minutes finally giving us the key to our room. We always book twin beds and were surprised that we had been given a family room that consisted of two double beds one of them being a made up sofa bed. This made the room severely cramped. The sofa bed proved to be one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on and was rock hard. On rather than in being the proper description as I felt as though I was sleeping on a wooden table . Hopefully on my next visits in February we will be given the rooms that we pay for and can experience our usual comfortable nights sleep.

Good Hotel

This is one of the best Novotel I know. They have nice rooms and a very good restaurant. Good architecture. The staff are very kind and helpful. It is conveniently connected to public transport (commuter train to the centre of Munich and airport about 5 minutes of walking and a busstop just in front of the door to the airport. The taxi ride to the airport is not too expensive as the trip is quite short.

Lovely hotel, very clean. Beds were excellent so had a good night's sleep, decent bed and pillows. Staff were really nice. Would definitely stay here again.
