Had a pleasant stay for 6 nights. This is a 4-star hotel in a quiet, safe and strategic district with 5-star service. Room is a bit old but everything is so comfy especially the bed. Value for money. I had some minor inconveniences 3rd night onwards - aircon wasn’t really cold (perhaps the weather was cold at night) though each time I forgot to inform the hotel but like I said, it didn’t really affect my overall stay. Special shoutout to the front desk team for their amazing hospitality and especially to Anita Chen for going all out to assist me to call the restaurant due to language barrier. I truly appreciate the staff for making my entire stay here memorable. Highly recommended and would love to be back. Thank you!

I was very happy with this hotel. Great location, near to sites and subway. Taxis are cheap and efficient. Hotel was clean and breakfast was varied and plentiful. Staff were friendly, helpful and happy to help with anything. Room was comfortable and clean. Good night sleep.

Coco at the desk for Han Tang Tours in the lobby is the most amazing resource and best aspect of staying at this hotel for myself and my family. She carefully listened to our needs (traveling w 2 elderly people with accessibility and energy/health issues) and made terrific recommendations for sight seeing, dining and transport to and from all venues and airport transfer. She accommodated last minute itinerary changes based on their waxing and waning energy and even the weather. Her convivial personality and warmth have earned our gratitude and she turned a short trip into a very optimized time spent in Beijing for my dad's (a quite cranky nonagenerian) bucket list birthday trip. She helped with details like hailing, and payment when all my apps were locked out. Make sure you download all the apps BEFORE arriving in China (Amap, AliPay, Didi, WeChat). The hotel is your typical Mercure in China as expected. The location is very convenient to walk to many sights. The subway, and "The New", a shopping center, are 10 minutes walk north. The New is small but has a very interesting selection of stores and food options. The hotel staff were great at all levels, friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is all right but stay away from BOTH the hotel restaurants otherwise. Ask Coco for better dining options! Many thanks Coco!!!

Hotel has a good location. Located near 2 metro stations, which are connected to lines 1, 2 and 4. Room is sufficiently large and the breakfast offers more than enough choice. Unfortunately, the corridors to the rooms stink of smoke, from the time it was probably still allowed. But once in the room it smelled fresh again. It's just a shame at breakfast that they don't supplement anything for the late birds. This way you will see empty bowls, and then you have to ask for the product which is a challenge because of the language barrier. And unfortunately this applies to almost the entire staff. For example, I asked for a sunny side up egg at the egg station, because that is on the menu there. The employee did not understand. So I pointed it to the menu board. Suddenly I was sent to another employee, and she was just staring at me. Then I just had breakfast without my desired egg. It would be nice if the staff received (extra) training for the English language. This could give an extra touch to the service. But anyway, it was a good stay.

Decent Stay, but Could Be Better

My stay here was okay overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement. The Front Desk staff were great and spoke English really well, which isn’t always common in China, so that was a big plus. I asked for an early check-in and was lucky enough to get it, which was super helpful since I needed some extra rest. The bed was comfy, with clean sheets and a good mattress. They also provided plenty of bottled water during my stay, which I appreciated. The location is really convenient too—close to shopping malls and attractions. I even got a late check-out until 2 PM, which made my trip a lot easier. That said, the cleaning could use some work. When I first got to my room, there were some leftover urine drops on the toilet seat from the previous guest—not exactly what you want to see when you arrive. During my stay, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly either. There were stains on the toilet and glass surfaces, which was disappointing. If they improved their cleaning, this place could be so much better.
