Prenoto spesso agli Ibis e agli Ibis budget per cui sono abituata alle camere poco ampie senza armadi, con un solo asciugamano a testa, al bagno diviso ecc, ma per il prezzo spesso competitivo li scelgo comunque perchè sono generalmente puliti e hanno uno standard che per me è buono. L'unica pecca qui è stata la receptionist del primo giorno che in modo veramente poco cortese e gentile sosteneva che non avessimo la colazione pagata quando invece era compresa. Le abbiamo fatto vedere la conferma e ha detto che non sapeva leggere l'italiano, senza dimostrare in qualche modo che avrebbe cercato di capire se ci fosse un malinteso; abbiamo chiamato il centro assistenza italiano che l'ha richiamata, lei ha visto la telefonata e ha riattaccato il telefono senza rispondere, le abbiamo quindi passato il nostro cellulare e ha sbuffato continuando a dire che a lei non risultava. Alla fine è stata richiamata dal suo manager e al termine della telefonata ha detto in inglese e senza scusarsi che ok, avevamo la colazione compresa. La famosa colazione come già letto altrove, aveva poca scelta sul dolce, solo una torta alla frutta che comunque era buona, dei cornettini che finivano subito e non venivano riassortiti, marmellate sfuse, yogurt e cereali. Per il resto hot dog, pane in cassetta secco, panini, uova sode, fagioli, e vari contorni.

You get a roof over your head and a bed to sleep in

The rooms are small and very spartan, but they are clean. Although the toilet in my room smelled of smoke, I guess people use the toilets to have a cigarette... The bed is just a thin mattress on wooden board, it's enough to get some sleep, but not very comfortable. Location is okay, you can get there relatively quickly from the train station, even on foot. The breakfast is pretty good, and the staff was friendly.

Good enough for overnight stay.

Excellent staff. Desk clerks were very helpful during my week. Crude beds, just a slab of foam. Desk just a small shelf. No drawers or other clothing storage except some hangers. Small TV with few channels. No grab bar in shower for elderly customer. Breakfast good enough but monotonous. This is a good place for overnight but not so good for my week. For my early Monday morning departure the night clerk was again very helpful.

O hotel Ibis Budget localizado no Centro de Katowice é ótimo para quem quer economizar e ter a comodidade de serviços por perto. O hotel é padrão, com cama de casal ou duas de solteiros. O café da manhã não está incluído. Próximo da região você encontra o Museu da Silésia onde antes era uma antiga mina de carvão. Ao lado do hotel, há cerca de 600m, localiza-se um mercado Lidl. É possível também ir andando para o Ginásio Spodek e para a estação central de Katowice onde ao lado está a Galeria Katowicka, um shopping center com as grandes marcas e diversas lojas. Preço bem acessível, apenas para relaxar à noite e descansar.
