Best of the Ibises! Room was just big enough for 3. Comfortable & clean. Everything in room worked. Compact but functional wardrobe. Buffet breakfast basic but had a good range. Coffee machine produced great quality! Street parking. 5 minutes walk to excellent eat street Kingsway & newly refurb & expanded The Glen shopping centre.

Good location in the suburbs

Did two multi-night stays here as a base while visiting family in the area. The standard room is a bit small if staying for multiple nights but the superior room is good. With a budget brand, you know you are getting no frills but the service was good, the breakfast was great and there was a nice bar area to relax. Located within walking distance of many restaurants and the shops at the Glen, also a 5-10 min walk to the train station which is about 30-40 mins from centre of Melbourne - not practical if you are mainly in the CBD but as we were seeing people in this area, it worked very well - don't miss free ping pong just outside the library !

Nonetheless, we regret that you found the standard room to be somewhat restrictive for a multiple-night stay. For future visits, you may find our Superior Rooms offer the added space and comfort you desire, complete with high ceilings and the signature ibis Sweet Bed to enhance your rest. Finally, it is fantastic that the convenience of our location served you well for visiting family in the area and that you had the opportunity to enjoy the local attractions, including the free ping pong by the library. Our location is indeed ideal for guests who wish to explore the eastern suburbs, while still having access to the Melbourne CBD via a short train ride. Avoid. Hidden charges everywhere. Fees for parking and for using cash. Lights in awkward places making either blindingly bright or dark shadow areas in the room. Room has a dark and heavy mood. Great for vampires! Ridiculously overheated. Feel like we're cooked. Worst shower head possible. Leaky, mounted way too high and not adjustable. Never coming back.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years and it never disappoints. I travel the world as an Accor platinum member and I can honestly say this hotel is one of my favourites. The beds are amazing and you just have to love a 24hr bar! Kelum has made this place a true “home away from home experience.” He is such a gentleman and genuine guy. I can see how all his hard work over the years has made this place what it is. A wonderful experience always. Thanks for all the wicked memories and hospitality over the years Kelum. I have stayed at Ibis hotels before but this was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were spacious, staff was extremely friendly and supportive and hotel was very clean. Enjoyed the 6 nights stay there and will definitely stay at this hotel whenever I am going to be in Melbourne.
