Very clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. Will definitely be back when next in the area. Very good staff and service. Restaurant was very popular and busy each night though I didn’t eat in so can’t comment on the quality of the food. Service for breakfast was good

Peppers The Hills Lodge Castle Hill as Accor Diamond member. Uber has this listed as a Grand Mercure and I’d say the level here is a bit higher than most Mercure properties I’ve stayed in. It’s on a busy road but our room was almost absolutely silent. Plenty of underground and open air parking. There’s not much around - it’s a long walk to the metro, there’s a half decent Lebanese restaurant about 500m away otherwise there’s a number of buses close by. The in-house restaurant is closed on a Sunday night but there is a room service menu (no Plus discount with that). Checkin was basic, no mention of status. I asked about breakfast and was informed it’s 50% off for Plus members. I said I was diamond and she said it’s free then. Received a room upgrade (thank you), cookies and a small bottle of water in the room with a note. Welcome drinks in the bar. Room was very spacious, bedside power points were at floor level, wifi not that great (our room was at the very end of the corridor) and couldn’t get casting to work. Aircon good, pay tv channels available. Breakfast basic but sufficient. Barista coffee. Nice bar area. There was a laundry room along the corridor. We had almost zero road noise, some rooms do face the road so seek out a pool or garden facing room. Checkout much more friendly with a really engaging lady. I’d stay here again. — at Peppers The Hills Lodge.

I work away from home, and I really enjoyed staying at The Hills Lodge. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The facilities are very good and clean. I cannot fault Peppers The Hills Lodge and I have decided to stay here for all my business trips.

Lovely accommodation with a negative for me

I had mixed feelings about leaving a review as even though this hotel is lovely and has many positive aspects I had a negative experience. I’d specifically booked an accessible room (plus left a note about this in my booking) but when it came to checking in I was told they didn’t have an accessible rooms. I was pointed to some stairs and told that’s where my room was. It was only that I said I’d probably fall down the stairs (as I have balance issues) that an accessible room was then sourced. I had to wait however for quite some time for it to be ready. I had had a long drive to get there, had to be at a function in less than two hours and this delay meant I felt flustered and rushed and was late. I’d recommend if booking an accessible room to double check that there is one available. I’d also recommend the room service breakfast booking form be left on the desk with the other hotel information. It was on a low shelf with the tea and coffee facilities so I didn’t see it. The hotel is however very pleasant and the rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. The buffet breakfast is good too with “barista” coffee available. For most people without accessibility requirements I would recommend.
