We really enjoyed our time at the sofitel again. We had access to the lounge and Sujee and Ronaldo were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to look after us. They are a credit to the hotel. We are looking forward to our next stay already.

A luxury hotel with a welcoming team

This is so much more than an airport hotel. I would strongly encourage travelers to consider Sofitel LHR as a perfect base for central London and further afield. A ten minute undercover walk to T5 and only 20 minutes by express train to central London. A well managed property with a professional, stable and dedicated team including Gianni and Victor, Leo, Aga, Angela, Mariana, Marilou, Andrea, Anna, Maria, Sofia, Harpreet, Theresa, Eliseus, Krishna, Augustine, Kamaljit, Salia and Arvind. Chef Eddie is justly legendary. Eggs made to order and a wonderful array of breakfast items make for a great start to the day.

Overnight stay prior to early flight from T5 Heathrow. Ate in Vivre Restaurant for evening dinner the night before. Food good, service excellent from Socorro. Room quiet and clean. Only negative is there are no power points by the bed and these days most of us like our mobile phones and watches charging on our bedside units.

Sujee & Ronaldo are wonderful & looked after us very well as usual. We would recommend a visit here to the club lounge. Food is plentiful & enjoyable.

Lovely airport hotel but not sure about hygiene

Since I have stayed several times at the Sofitel T5 I chose to stay there again when in England, briefly, for a family funeral. I arrived and landed at T2 but it was easy to get from there to T5 and well signposted. I chose to book a Club room because I don't fancy bars (especially when loud!). My room was comfortable, totally quiet, and clean. There was a shower as well as a bath (I do not like baths!) and plenty of nice towels. My one comment about the shower though is I do not understand why, when the bathroom floor is tiled with non-slip tiles, the shower floor was tiled with slippery ones!! Makes no sense to me. I had both the full English breakfast AND the club lounge included so the first day I ate breakfast at the Vivre restaurant. It was OK. Not wonderful. However it WAS wonderful to have a very good double espresso easily available! When I returned from the funeral I was (as one could understand!) exhausted so went straight to the Millenium lounge for a drink. I was delighted with the selection on offer. However when I arrived the servers were still setting the snack buffet up. I sat and waited (no problem there!). I was shocked - VERY shocked to see one of them - "Romano" I think - pick up a cracker from the carpeted floor where it had fallen and then put it back into the box of crackers. I was even more shocked when the same person dropped a pair of serving tongs, picked them up and put them right back onto the plate of cheese. That certainly did not meet my standards of hygiene and I hope it didn't meet the standards elsewhere in the hotel. I have travelled extensively all over the world and I have never once seen anything like this. The morning I checked out I wrote an email to the GM to tell him about the incident. To date (5 days later) I have not had the courtesy of a reply from the hotel. I am not sure I shall stay at the Sofitel again.
