We stayed at Pullman ZamZam Makkah believing that a hotel located at such a holy place would understand human pain and tragedy. What we experienced instead was cold, rigid, and completely heartless behaviour from the management. Our booking reference was 884949745, with a check-in date of 19 January 2026. Due to the sudden death of our mother back home, we had no choice but to leave immediately and cut short our stay. This was not planned. This was not optional. This was a family tragedy. The hotel staff and management were clearly informed and fully aware of the situation. Yet despite knowing all this, the management showed absolutely no humanity. No flexibility. No understanding. No compassion. We were not begging for favours. We simply asked for basic consideration, even the option to use the unused nights later. Everything was rejected without hesitation, as if our loss meant nothing. It is honestly disgusting and shocking that a hotel operating right next to the Haram, a place that teaches compassion and mercy, could behave in such a cruel and insensitive way. Sitting at a holy place while showing zero human values is something we will never forget. This experience added anger, stress, and humiliation to a time when our family was already broken with grief. Instead of support, we were met with arrogance and indifference. We left not only mourning our mother, but also feeling deeply disrespected and emotionally drained. We strongly warn others: do not expect kindness, empathy, or understanding from this hotel if something goes wrong in your life. Based on what we went through, this was one of the most heartless and painful hotel experiences we have ever faced.

Hotel is perfect. Housekeeping is one of the best. The hotel crew is helpful. Room cleaning was great. Waseem amit and Ahmed gamal are lovely people

Great stay, few minor tweaks to make it better!

Location, rooms and services are exceptional. The selection of the rooms is a bit confusing. The Haram courtyard view only gives access to the area outside the Haram mosque. If you're interested in Mataf/interior view, then the rooms are labelled as Kaaba view. I was able to check-in at an earlier time thanks to being an Accor member. My room was upgraded to a higher floor after a bit of a wait. For my breakfast, I was given access to the Amber restaurant. Food was great, but no variety (same dishes every day). The coffee machines also had faulty programming for cortado and did not dispense any milk. Otherwise, the atmosphere is very nice. It does get very crowded (long waits on elevators) due to its proximity to Haram. The room was very clean, although not very soundproof as there were doors to other rooms on both sides, and even basic conversation could be heard. My only complaint is that the hotel details on multiple sites, including my Accor app, stated Airport shuttle (at extra charges), but the staff was not aware of any such service. Furthermore, one of the reception members (a female who wore grey coloured lenses), came off as very rude. Everything else was great.
