Extremely disappointing and distressing experience at Pullman Makkah. We arrived after a long international flight for Umrah, with a confirmed and credit-card guaranteed booking, only to be told on arrival that their room had been cancelled and given to someone else. The hotel claimed “non-payment,” despite written confirmation that the booking was guaranteed. With no help or empathy from staff, I was forced to rebook a room at a higher price at the same hotel due to the urgency of the situation. This caused huge stress and anxiety, particularly to my mother, and ruined what should have been a peaceful and memorable religious trip. Unfortunately, the poor service continued — luggage was not delivered despite multiple calls, the room was not properly cleaned, room service was very difficult to receive and reception staff were rude and dismissive throughout the stay. This is not the standard expected from a Pullman or Accor property, especially in a city like Makkah where guests are often elderly and travelling for religious reasons. I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

Prime location, however a person need to change 2 lifts for reaching the room, that very hectic. Food was okay but not good. No welcome drinks, telephone operators had difficulty understanding English. However, some of the staff members were very kind.
