Thank you do much for your wonderful hospitality during our weekend stary. We were impressed by how clean and comfortable the room was, the view from the balony was absolutely stunning. We particulary enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the exceptionally friendly and professional service. We are very happy chose your hotel and will definitely back.

This hotel was extremely disappointing and nowhere near what I expected from a “top” hotel on TripAdvisor. The property is very dated and, more importantly, not clean. There was visible mold up the shower walls, dirty skirting boards, and overall poor cleanliness throughout the room. To make things worse, the shower head actually fell off during use. Service was also slow and inattentive, which added to the frustration. For the price and reputation, I expected much better standards, but this hotel did not deliver at all. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

We booked two nights as a pre Christmas break. Unfortunately due to terrible weather we couldn’t get there the first night so expected to have to pay for two nights anyway. After arriving the next day for our now, one night stay we were told they would only charge us for the one night. This was a great gesture so thank you Novotel for this. It was much appreciated. The hotel is centrally located in a nice part of Cardiff. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the shopping areas and about twenty minutes to walk down to the quay area. There is parking and that is plentiful and a reasonable cost per day. Our standard room was on the fourth floor. The hotel was quiet and so was the room. Good view, very clean with a large bed. The room had plenty of storage for a short stay. Tea and coffee facilities but no machine and no mini fridge. The room was spacious with a sofa. Also a big TV and desk. Pillows were good and there was a good sized bathroom with shower over the bath and towels. It was a perfectly good room for a couple of nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was good and we had a drink before heading off to our meal in town. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of both hot and continental options. The leisure facilities were really good. There was a big and well equipped gym, a lovely big swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Changing facilities were spotless and well stocked with towels. It was one of the best we’ve experienced in a Novotel. Lovely not being there with screaming kids charging around ( which we had to put up with at Novotel in Cambridge North in August!) This was an ideal place to base ourselves whilst in Cardiff. It was our second visit to this hotel And to Cardiff. We found the city welcoming and friendly with a great Christmas market. Would highly recommend the hotel and Cardiff as a city break. Thank you Novotel!
